1:16 Oden at Kuromon Ichiba Market - One of the things I wanted to eat before leaving Osaka was oden, a Japanese winter dish of different ingredients boiled in a light dashi stock soup. I found it in the Kuromon Ichiba Market (黒門市場), and it was everything I had hoped for - warm, comforting and extremely soothing. If you’re looking to try a street food version of oden in Osaka, Kuromon Ichiba Market (黒門市場) is a great place to try it.

Oretachi No Curry Ya (俺たちのカレー家) is a Japanese curry restaurant located very close to Namba station in Osaka. I was excited to eat there next, and I’m glad they were open. I ordered a katsu curry with an egg and a pile of green onions on top. It was excellent and very comforting.

6:40 Open Air Museum of Old Japanese Farm Houses - 500 JPY ($4.15)
After a good lunch we took the train out to the Open-Air Museum of Old Japanese Farm Houses, a little trek from the center of Osaka, but definitely worth the ride on the train to get there. The museum showcases original farm houses from around Japan. I really enjoyed this museum, and would highly recommend it.
10:04 Torikara Stick - 240 JPY ($2) - After arriving back to Namba area of Osaka, we stopped for a quick chicken snack.
10:46 Marugame Seimen Udon (丸亀製麺 千日前店) - 640 JPY ($5.31) - We then decided to stop for a quick light early dinner and we ate at an udon chain restaurant. It was alright, not the best, but made for a good quick Japanese fast food udon meal.
12:41 Final Izakaya - and amazing sashimi platter in Osaka! - For our final meal and final bites of food in Osaka, we were just walking around the Namba area near the train station, and I wanted to find an izakaya that we could hang out for a bit to get some yakitori and sashimi. I’m not sure the name of the place we found, but they served us some more delicious yakitori, and an outstanding bowl of sashimi for our final bites in Osaka!

About Itami City
Itami City is located in the south-east of Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.
The city is around 10 km from Osaka and is home to Osaka (Itami) International Airport. Itami's neighboring cities are Amagasaki, Nishinomiya, Takarazuka, and Kawanishi (Hyogo Prefecture), and Toyonaka and Ikeda (Osaka Prefecture).
Itami City is known as the birthplace of sake: around the year 1600, the technique for making clear or refined sake was first discovered in Itami's breweries, giving us the drink we know today.
Today, the city is home to the oldest sake brewery building in Japan - the Former Okada Residence and Sake Brewery, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property.
Itami is also famous as a sacred site for naginata training. As well as being home to the All Japan Naginata Federation headquarters, one of Japan's three biggest private dojos, Shubukan, is also located in the city. Shubukan Dojo still carries out naginata training today.

Instant Ramen Museum & Osaka Castle | Japan 2016 | Episode 19 Part 1
If you’d consider yourself something of a foodie, or just like to have a lot of fun really, then a visit to The Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum is likely right up your alley. There is a wealth of interesting information about the history and invention of instant ramen and amazing displays of all the various types of instant ramen Nissin has created since the very first package of chicken ramen was created in 1958. Along with the informational displays they run an instant ramen making class where you create your own instant ramen package from scratch. It’s a great way to see the various steps involved in making instant ramen. There is also a Cup Noodle Factory where you can design your own cup noodle packaging and create your own custom flavour combination which you can take home and enjoy. And if you get hungry fear not, there is a tasting room where you can purchase special instant noodle flavours normally only found in specific regions of Japan.
In part 1 of this episode we make it to the museum and take the instant ramen class.
Parts 2 and 3 will continue the day with more activities at the museum and a visit to Osaka Castle.
