Kirkcaldy is a town and former royal burgh in Fife, on the east coast of Scotland. Kirkcaldy is about 11.6 miles north of Edinburgh and 27.6 miles south-southwest of Dundee. The area around Kirkcaldy has been inhabited since the Bronze Age. The first document to refer to the town is from 1075, when Malcolm III granted the settlement to the church of Dunfermline.
Kirkcaldy has long been nicknamed the Lang Toun in reference to the early town's 0.9-mile (1.4 km) main street, as indicated on maps from the 16th and 17th centuries. The street later reached a length of nearly 4 miles (6.4 km), connecting the burgh to the neighbouring settlements of Linktown, Pathhead, Sinclairtown and Gallatown, which became part of the town in 1876. The formerly separate burgh of Dysart was merged into Kirkcaldy in 1930.
Kirkcaldy was a world producer until well into the mid-1960s. The town expanded considerably in the 1950s and 1960s, though the decline of the linoleum industry and other manufacturing restricted its growth thereafter. The town of Kirkcaldy is a major service centre for the central Fife area. It has a swimming pool, theatre, museum and art gallery, three public parks and an ice rink. Kirkcaldy is also known as the birthplace of social philosopher and economist Adam Smith.
Kirkcaldy curves around a sandy cove between the Tiel (West) Burn to the south and the East Burn to the north, on a bay facing southeast onto the Firth of Forth. Historians are not sure where the medieval centre of Kirkcaldy was located, but it may have been at the corner of Kirk Wynd and the High Street.
Kirkcaldy Galleries is home to the town's museum and art gallery and central library. The building opened in 1925 under its former name of Kirkcaldy Museum and Art Gallery and was extended to provide a main library in 1928. The oldest church in Kirkcaldy is the Old Kirk, the old parish church, on Kirk Wynd.
Kirkcaldy Town House on Wemyssfield is the centrepiece of the town's civic square. Kirkcaldy War Memorial in War Memorial Gardens unveiled in 1923 was gifted to the town by John Nairn, linoleum manufacturer and grandson of Michael Nairn. In the north-east are two homes of early wealthy merchants and shipowners connected with Kirkcaldy's harbour.
Two large stately homes also exist within the town. To the north of Kirkcaldy is Dunnikier House, built in the late eighteenth century as a seat for the Oswald family, replacing their previous residence at Path House. To the east of the town are the ruins of Ravenscraig Castle on a rocky spit of land extending into the Firth of Forth.
The A92, which connects Dunfermline to the west with Glenrothes and Dundee to the north, passes immediately north of Kirkcaldy. The Kirkcaldy railway station is to the north-west of the town centre and is on the route for the Fife Circle Line and the East Coast Main Line.

Isle of Man - Island Lives: The Anderson Family .
The Isle of Man means different things to different people. To the Andersons it means a safe and stimulating place to bring up a young family. Good schools, a relaxed pace of life, locally produced food and lots to interest the children.
Take a guided wildlife tour and discover the incredible diversity of wildlife. Recently there have been sightings of large pods of dolphins in Ramsey, Douglas and Peel. Also, the Isle of Man is the destination of choice for many birds during the winter. Birds which spend much of their summer in the Arctic, such as brent geese, will head south to the relatively warmer conditions of a Manx winter.

Can't really explain why no one is seemingly doing nothing about the erosion on the West Coast and although this video is a little longer than I would have preferred its at least a record of the coast line around Glen Mooar and Kirk Michael as of July 2017. I'm sure I or fellow IOM Drone flyers will return over the next few years and keep an update going.
I have sped the video up in places to try and make it shorter than its initial 15 mins. Still amazing scenery but I see it more of a historical snap shot.
The Isle of Man is located in the middle of the northern Irish Sea, almost equidistant from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland (closest), and Wales (farthest). It is 52 kilometres (32 mi) long and, at its widest point, 22 kilometres (14 mi) wide. It has an area of around 572 square kilometres (221 sq mi). Besides the island of Mann itself, the political unit of the Isle of Man includes some nearby small islands: the seasonally inhabited Calf of Man, Chicken Rock on which stands an unmanned lighthouse, St Patrick's Isle and St Michael's Isle. The last two of these are connected to the main island by permanent roads/causeways.
Ranges of hills in the north and south are separated by a central valley. The northern plain, by contrast, is relatively flat, consisting mainly of deposits from glacial advances from western Scotland during colder times. There are more recently deposited shingle beaches at the northernmost point, the Point of Ayre. The island has one mountain higher than 600 metres (2,000 ft), Snaefell, with a height of 620 metres (2,034 ft). According to an old saying, from the summit one can see six kingdoms: those of Mann, Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales, and Heaven. Some versions add a seventh kingdom, that of the sea, or Neptune

The aim is to show there is far more to this island than the TT Races, I love to explore using my Drone and my Motorcycles. My Drone footage even shows me places to re-visit when I view them on the computer screen. Buildings, Valleys, Rivers, Streams, Caves, rock faces that I simply would not know existed until I review this footage. My aim is for you the viewer to also watch these videos and see places that spark that lightbulb moment, they even may make you want to buy a drone and fly the same locations and get closer to those places that I have not yet returned to.
