Belvoir Castle - FULL OUTSIDE VIDEO TOUR (Grantham, Leics, England)
We decided to take a trip to Belvoir Castle to re-live some childhood memories!
If you've ever grown up in Leicestershire, chances are you've visited Belvoir Castle! Unfortunately the castle was closed when we visited, so here is a full outside tour of the castle grounds! Luckily it was shooting season, so we have included a pheasant special in the video!
Belvoir Castle (/ˈbiːvə/ BEE-və) is a stately home in the English county of Leicestershire, overlooking the Vale of Belvoir (grid reference SK820337). It is a Grade I listed building. A corner of the castle is still used as the family home of the Manners family and remains the seat of the Dukes of Rutland, most of whom are buried in the grounds of the mausoleum there. The castle remains privately owned and is open to visitors.
The castle is near several villages, including Redmile, Woolsthorpe, Knipton, Harston, Harlaxton, Croxton Kerrial and Bottesford and the town of Grantham. Antiquarian John Leland wrote in the 16th century, the castle stands on the very nape of a high hill, steep up each way, partly by nature, partly by the working of men's hands.

SOFALA 1851 GOLD RUSH TOWN NEW SOUTH WALES AUSTRALIA
When the mighty clipper ships sailed to Australia from California or Britain in the 1850s, chances are the passengers on board were heading for Sofala, 40 km from Bathurst in New South Wales, where the discovery of alluvial gold promised quick fortunes for some but not all. Sofala has only a comparative handful of residents these days but in its heyday it was a thriving community with gold at the centre of everything.
Scarborough Camping and Caravanning Club Site
Near Scarborough, this site is ideal for exploring Yorkshire’s coast and moors.
Our Scarborough Club campsite lies just north of the Victorian seaside resort of the same name and is perfectly located for exploring the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast and the North York Moors National Park.
Scarborough is a large family-friendly campsite with 300 pitches. It is a spacious site with well-placed modern facility blocks. Younger campers are catered for with two play parks and a football pitch and there’s a recreation room too. There’s a small on-site chippy, a well-stocked shop and a dog exercise field.
From the campsite, it’s an easy walk to the town’s Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary and the North Bay beach along a pleasant cliff-top path. The site is a ten-minute walk from the Cleveland Way National Trail which hugs the North Yorkshire coast and a traffic-free cycle path passes close to the site on the way to Whitby.
West of the campsite North Riding Forest Park (or Dalby Forest as it is also known) has many waymarked trails for walkers and mountain bikers. You can go orienteering here too. Go Ape! Offers tree top adventure with ropes and zip wires or, if you prefer to keep your feet on the ground, enjoy the forest on a Segway.
Head north to Staintondale for the Shire Horse centre. Learn about the North Yorkshire coast at the Ravenscar Coastal Centre. From here it’s a three-mile beach walk to the pretty fishing village of Robin Hood’s Bay. Whitby, ten miles further on, offers the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Lifeboat Museum and Whitby Abbey. Catch a train to Grosmont, the terminus for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. This 18-mile heritage line runs across the National Park to Pickering. Jump off at Goathland (or Aidensfield for TVs Heartbeat fans).

Veryan Water Mill tea garden
This is the footpath adorned with teapots to signify the ancient ritual of tea drinking English style but not like the original Chinese tradition which I have to ask forgiveness
from the Chinese for stealing it off of them. So I'm sorry on behalf of the English people's (if they want me to).
