St Bride's church off Fleet Street was built in 1672 by Sr Christopher Wren and is the tallest of his churches excluding St Paul's. It was actually the inspiration for a pastry chef called William Rich, who had his bakery on Ludgate Hill, to design the first tiered wedding cake.
The Old Bell Pub was built especially for those workmen building the church and appears in a famous almanac of the day called Epicure's Almanac, a bit like a restaurant guide.
Just around the corner is Salisbury Square where Frederick Duke of York, second son of King George lll burned 10 000 copies of his ex-lover's memoirs. Mary Anne Clark was upset that she was unceremoniously dumped without so much as a town house to show for it, so she disclosed all the steamy tales of passion between them.
The Duke was horrified and bought all 10 000 copies and burned them…and Mary Anne Clark got her pension!

10 Things NOT To Do in Samoa
Get more Tips here!
The Samoan islands are surrounded by miles of pristine beaches, crystal blue ocean, and dazzling reef. But keep in mind that Samoa is a conservative country, and you should do your research ahead of time. Here’s our list of 10 things you should NOT in Samoa.
1. Don’t Stay Standing
When it’s time to get down to business, you’ll notice that Samoans all sit down on the floor to engage in discussion. It’s also considered rude to eat or drink while you’re standing.
2. Don’t Indulge in Kava
It’s customary to take part in the kava ceremony. This narcotic brew is made with the roots of a pepper plant, and the cup of liquid is passed around for everyone to sip and enjoy. Overindulging in the drink can decrease your reaction times and motor coordination.
3. Don’t forget to brush up on the Culture
Samoan Cultural Village and Knowledgeable guides will take you around through different exhibits where you’ll be given a fun history lesson. You’ll also be taught coconut weaving, watch an entertaining dance performance, and be treated to a traditional meal cooked over an earth oven.
4. Don’t Underestimate a Beach Fale
A fale is a hut on the beaches. You can actually rent one and wake up to the waves crashing right at your feet. These handmade structures range from simple to luxurious, but to get a true experience, you’ll definitely want to stay in the old school version made of wood and dried coconut fiber.
5. Don’t Leave the Water Without Your Lava Lava
After soaking up some sun on the beach, make sure to cover up with a lava lava afterward. It’s similar to a sarong, and it basically covers up your body so that you don’t offend the locals. And keep in mind, the lava lava is worn by both men and women.
6. Don’t Forget to Pay Taefu T Matafeo Store a Visit
Between Salelologa and the north coast, you’ll find a tiny establishment called Taefu T Matafeo Store. Inside, you can sip on some of the best espressos ever, while nibbling on homemade cakes. They also serve up light fare, including kimchi, and they have more than enough icy beer to go around.
7. Don’t Go Chasing Waterfalls…Just Joking
Samoa’s backdrop is rich with gorgeous tropical forests that are home to some of the most stunning waterfalls. On Upolu Island, you will find Sopoaga Waterfall at the foot of Lotofaga Village. At the base of the falls, you can also take part in an umu demonstration and coconut husking.
8. Don’t Be Surprised by Beach Fees
In Samoa, the majority of the beaches are owned by families and villages, and they charge visitors a small fee (from 5 to 20 tala) to swim, take photos on the beach, or even wander around the sand. If you’re staying at a resort, you won’t have to worry about this fee at all.
9. Don’t Visit the National Museum on Weekends
This museum should definitely be at the top of your itinerary, but make sure you stop by during the week, because they’re closed on weekends. You can send a special request to ask that they open their doors for you on a Saturday or Sunday, but there’s no guarantee that they’ll honor it.
10. Don’t Enter During Prayer
Prayer sessions can happen frequently, and if you find that you’ve arrived at someone’s home during a prayer, wait outside until it is finished. If you’re inside their home at the time the prayer’s set to take place, you’ll be expected to take part in the service as well.
IS BULGARIA CHEAP? Sofia cost of living in Bulgarian Lev | Travel Vlog 2018
How cheap is Sofia? Is the cost of travel in Bulgaria cheap or is the Bulgarian Lev inflated and expensive? In this travel vlog we... ⬇ Click 'Show More' ⬇
Cost of travel is one of the most common questions we get, everyone wants to know how cheap is Bulgaria, or is Sofia a cheap place to travel. We share a lot of the costs of day-to-day living in our regular travel vlogs, but decided it was time to make one ultimate travel costs video.
The Bulgarian Lev is the currency in Bulgaria, not the Euro, and is pretty cheap for most people outside of Eastern Europe. We spent the day on a travel mission around Sofia to share the general daily cost of living or travel in the city. To be fair, Sofia is more expensive than our last spot (Plovdiv) but it's still a good indicator what to expect from Bulgaria as a whole.
So the main question, is Bulgaria cheap and the answer is yes. If you're bringing in another currency and exchanging to Bulgarian Lev your cash will go a long way here.

Places to see in ( Lynmouth - UK )
Places to see in ( Lynmouth - UK )
Lynmouth is a village in Devon, England, on the northern edge of Exmoor. The village straddles the confluence of the West Lyn and East Lyn rivers, in a gorge 700 feet below Lynton, which was the only place to expand to once Lynmouth became as built-up as possible. Both villages are connected by the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway, which works two cable-connected cars by gravity, using water tanks.
The two villages are a civil parish governed by Lynton and Lynmouth Town Council. The parish boundaries extend southwards from the coast, and include hamlets such as Barbrook and small moorland settlements such as East Ilkerton, West Ilkerton and Shallowford.
The South West Coast Path and Tarka Trail pass through, and the Two Moors Way runs from Ivybridge in South Devon to Lynmouth; the Samaritans Way South West runs from Bristol to Lynton, and the Coleridge Way from Nether Stowey to Lynmouth. Lynmouth was described by Thomas Gainsborough, who honeymooned there with his bride Margaret Burr, as the most delightful place for a landscape painter this country can boast.
The Sillery Sands beach [a] is just off the South West Coast Path and is used by naturists. Percy Bysshe Shelley, his wife Harriet and his sister-in-law Eliza stayed in Lynmouth between June and August 1812. Shelley worked on political pamphlets and on the poem Queen Mab. He was delighted with the village.
A lifeboat station was established in Lynmouth on 20 January 1869, five months after the sailing vessel Home was wrecked nearby. The lifeboat was kept in a shed on the beach, until a purpose-built boat house was built at the harbour. The village of Hollow Bay in The Secret of Crickley Hall by James Herbert is based on Lynmouth; Devil's Cleave is based on the East Lyn Valley and Watersmeet. The book brings together two stories, that of child evacuees during the Second World War and that of the 1952 flood disaster that devastated Lynmouth.
( Lynmouth - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Lynmouth . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Lynmouth - UK
