Canadian Rockies Travel Guide | Canada's Most Beautiful Place To Visit
Join us for this Canadian Rockies travel guide as we explore one of Canada's most beautiful places to visit. The big reason we took a road trip from Ontario to Alberta and British Columbia was to see the Rocky Mountains. For Audrey's parents, especially her Dad, it has been a dream to see this beautiful part of Canada for decades. With a chance to finally do it we were all thrilled to visit the Canadian Rockies together as a family with Togo the German Shepherd. The following is everywhere we visited in and around the Canadian Rockies including most of our time spent in Banff National Park and Kootenay National Park in the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia:
1) Getting our park passes at Banff National Park for the whole family
2) Exploring the town of Banff including hiking the Bow River Trail and the Banff Springs Hotel
3) Visiting the nearby town of Canmore to walk along Policeman’s Creek Boardwalk Trail
4) Visiting Cascade Ponds where Audrey's sister got married
5) Exploring Lake Minnewanka where you can hike, kayak or canoe
6) Driving through Kootenay Provincial Park
7) Hiking to visit the Paint Pots to visit the pools
8) Visiting the incredibly beautiful Lake Moraine
9) Visiting world famous Lake Louise
10) Hiking the Old Coach Trail in between Radium Hot Springs and Dry Gulch
11) Relaxing at Windermere Lake
12) Checking out the famous Continental Divide
13) Visiting Kananaskis Country to visit Upper Kananaskis Lake and Lower Kananaskis Lake

Canadian Rockies Travel Guide | Canada's Most Beautiful Place To Visit Video Transcript:
Welcome to the Canadian Rockies! In the last video we showed you the 4-and-a-half day car journey from Ontario, but now it’s time to jump into the sightseeing.
We had 1 full week in the Rockies, splitting our time between both Alberta and British Columbia, and all of our days were spent hiking in woods, visiting the lakes, and just enjoying being surrounded by nature.
This was a family road trip with our trusty family dog Togo in tow, so we’re going to be sharing with you our adventure in what may well be the most beautiful part of Canada!
The Bow River trail is just a few steps from downtown Banff and it follows the riverside.
From there, we walked over to the Banff Springs Hotel. This historic hotel opened up in 1888 it’s one of Canada's grand railway hotels built by the Canadian Pacific Railway. We continued over to Canmore.
From there, we drove over to Lake Minnewanka, which has more of a bluer hue in comparison to the other turquoise and emerald lakes in the Rockies. Lake Minnewanka is a glacial lake 21 kilometres in length, making it the 2nd longest lake in the Rockies. It’s a hub for water activity like boat cruises, kayaking, canoeing, and well, it’s beautiful.
Later that day we drove to Moraine Lake, which is another glacially fed lake. It has a brilliant blue-green colour due to light refracting off the rock sediments, and like most destinations in the Rockies, this one was another stunner.
The views from the shore of Lake Louise were nothing short of stunning, we had Victoria Glacier perfectly framed by mountains on either side, and then the brilliant glacial waters with dotted with red canoes.
Our final destination in the Rockies was Kananaskis Country where we visited Lower Kananaskis Lake and Upper Kananaskis Lake.
The real highlight was finally spotting some wildlife just as we were leaving for the day.
And that’s a wrap for our Rockies Road Trip! We still have lots left to see of our home country, but we can honestly say this is one of the most beautiful destinations in all of Canada.
We hope you guys got a few ideas of places to visit on your trip.
Wishing you happy travels and see you next time!

Subscribe to my channel ► for weekly videos!
Maps, address, photos & my personal advise on my blog:
I decided to visit my friends from Holland who were exploring the Canadian Rockies with their RV, before chasing them down in Banff I treated myself on the most famous hot dog in Canada at Tubby Dog and tried to break the glass floor at the Calgary Tower.
Photos, guide, maps & details on my blog:
It was such a memorable experience meeting my Dutch friends on the other side of the world so we decided to do it up proper with a family BBQ and a few local brewski's, namely the Powder Hound by The Grizzly Paw which is a local brewery in Canmore, Alberta.
On our first adventure we left in the early morning to take the Banff Gondola to Sulphur Mountain, one of the most mesmerizing views of Banff. Make sure to fill up prior on a classic Canadian breakfast at Tim Hortons, the Canadian way.
The next adventure was a private helicopter ride at Rockies Heli Canada who took us from Kananaskis through the Rocky Mountains. It was a gorgeous clear day which resulted in excellent video footage. We even saw the same river where they shot the movie: The Revenant.
What also amazed us were the buck loads of wildlife passing by the RV throughout our stay at Banff's tunnel mountain campgrounds.
In next week's article I will give you all the details on our adventure at Lake Louise were I completed an 11 hour, 20 kilometer hike, thus best is to relax and relieve your sore muscles at Banff Upper Hot Springs after that trip.
In conclusion we were very fortunate that we had excellent weather with blue skies the entire trip. I highly recommend visiting Calgary, Banff & Lake Louise in the first week of June for the best experience.

Discovering Canada | What to see and do in Jasper
David whitehill gets lost in Jasper and is having the time of his life as he rides on a Harley-Davidson, sees Canada from the top of Whistler's Mountain and goes rafting in the Athabasca river.
For more information visit:
See below for a transcript from the video:
We’ve traveled to Canada with Scenic to catch up with Ted, the Harley-Davidson riding bad-boy who has this amazing scenery as his backyard. If you want to check the national park out this has got to be the best way to do it.
What’s the magic for you that keeps you coming out here every day?
Ted: “Making people happy and letting them see a part of the country that they may never see again.”
David: “I like that this fresh air is keeping you nice and young, Ted.”
The Harley tour has to be the most unique way to explore Jasper.
There’s 1500cc of Harley engine guiding you through one of the most
picturesque parts of Canada. This is quite an experience.
Not a bad way to travel.
Jasper National Park is huge. It spans over 10,000 square kilometres and with its World Heritage listing it's one of the most visited destinations in the country.
If you're an outdoors kind of person you are going to fall in love with Jasper National Park.
Everything here is designed around getting you outdoors so you can really embrace the beauty of the Canadian
Rockies and I mean you have some of the most pristine wilderness in the world right at your fingertips.
Scenic’s mission is to make sure you see the park from every angle and the sky-tram takes you up over two kilometres to the summit of Whistler’s Mountain.
With a very warm welcome from the locals, the views from up here stretch out over six different mountain ranges.
I’m starting to get the feeling that Canadians like to show off a little bit.
From the top of the mountains to the valleys below adventure just seems to be around every bend.
One of your Scenic Freechoice activities is that you get a chance to tackle the Athabasca River.
This is the kind of experience where all you need is a bright red life-jacket and a sense of adventure.
Our expert guide Logan shows us all the sights of one of the rockies major rivers as we tackle the odd bump and occasional team drenching.
To calm things down just a little the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge gives you a true taste of mountain life.
Nestled in the heart of the national park, it prides itself on giving you a five-star experience but with the raw feel of nature right on your doorstep.
This is one place you’re going to sleep very well.
Once you’ve taken on everything Scenic’s been able to throw at you it’s time to come down here to the heated pool, grab yourself a cocktail, and just start relaxing.
This is what holidays are all about.
