Welcome to Nova Scotia!
From May 27th to June 6th, 2017, we toured Nova Scotia as part of the Road to 150 campaign. It was our second province during our 150-day road trip and what an incredible time we had. From the absolute natural beauty of Cape Breton Highlands National Park to the historic beauty of Halifax, the small town charm of Lunenburg, and the excitement of tidal bore rafting, Nova Scotia is an incredible province to explore. Although we accomplished a lot in ten days, we really only scratched the surface of this incredible east coast province. Whether you're looking for that laid back East Coast charm, maritime history, or incredible natural wonders, Nova Scotia is the place to visit!
Canada's Road to 150 is a 150-day Canada-wide multimedia road trip celebrating Canada's 150th birthday by exploring the uniqueness of this country provincially and collectively while answering the question; What makes Canada special?
We will drive to and through every driveable province and territory, showcasing Canada's natural beauty and regional attractions while interviewing Canadians of all cultures and backgrounds, including local celebrities, immigrants, refugees, and everyday rural and urban Canadians. Our aim is to dig deep into what makes Canada such an incredibly inspiring country while showing off the best of Canada's tourism to Canadians and to the world.

5 Things to do in Tobermory, Ontario (Grotto, Flowerpot Island & Scuba Diving)
These are my carefully selected 5 things to do, what to eat and survival tips for Tobermory, Ontario. Tobermory and the Bruce Peninsula are gorgeous destinations in Canada and offer some of the clearest water in the world, with places like the Grotto, Indian Head Cove and Flowerpot Island. Subscribe to my channel ► for weekly videos!
For many years I've heard rumors of a paradise north of Toronto, so last weekend I decided to go check it out. Tobermory and the Bruce Peninsula are gorgeous destinations in Canada and offer some of the clearest water in the world with visibility that easily reaches depths up to 25 meters.
Download my FREE Toberymory map:
The 4-hour drive can be a bit steep but luckily it is a comfortable drive with many valley's and towns on the way to keep you inspired. Crucial things to consider are: bring enough gas (there are not many gas stations on the peninsula), bring swim-gear/scuba gear & bring crocks.
1. Shipwreck Diving
Best scuba diving spot in Canada.
2. Fish & Chip Place
Best fish & chips in Canada.
3. Flowerpot Island
Raw nature at its finest, you may find snakes & large spiders on this island.
4. The Grotto
The gem on the peninsula with a hidden underwater tunnel.
5. Indian Head Cove
Gorgeous rough coastline and popular tourist attraction.
The 5 best kept secrets in Tobermory that I listed are not in chronological order but I do consider the shipwreck diving as a definite hightlight! But I'd like to remind you that advanced swimming skills are required.

At Flowerpot Island we ran into many clean-cut shaped rocks, now I have a small obsession with archeology and especially with the Yonaguni monument which some consider a man-made structure and lies deep in the east china sea off the coast of Taiwan. It is estimated to be more than 10,000 years old making it the oldest man-made structure in the world if the theory holds true, but after seeing these clean-cut slabs I start to think that Yonaguni may actually be a natural phenomenon, if you are interested, watch the documentary by Graham Hancock.
With Yonaguni being a little off topic, I do like to stress my fellow Canadians to at least make this trip once in your lifetime to really get an idea of what the province of Ontario has to offer.

Special Note: We just released the Canada Saver Card, a physical discount card that gets you discounts at a variety of attractions, adventures, and activities across Canada! From helicopter tours to rafting, fishing, museums, and horseback rides, save money on all of them for less than $30! - was the fifth province we visited on our 150-day road trip across Canada. Learn more at MustDoCanada.com/Road-to-150
Québec is a big province full of history, nature, and diverse cities. As Canada’s only primarily French speaking province, it’s quite different than the rest of the country. Also, due to the complicated history between the English and the French, Québec has always strived to create and keep its own identity, which is quite apparent in the pride they have for their own flag and other cultural practices. We learned so much during our time in the province and had a lot of fun exploring the cities and the surrounding nature.
With historical cities like Old Québec, diverse cities like Montreal, and natural attractions like Mont Tremblant and the St. Lawrence Saguenay Seaway, Québec is an exciting province to explore.
Canada's Road to 150 is a 150-day Canada-wide multi media road trip celebrating Canada's 150th birthday by exploring the uniqueness of this country provincially and collectively while answering the question; What makes Canada special?
