Join me for this exciting video detailing the 53rd Paris Air Show of 2019 from Paris-Le Bourget Airport! The Paris Air Show is quite simply the largest air show event in the world and has been held every other odd year since 1949. It attracts all of the major aircraft makers and representatives of the world’s major military forces. This year’s event occurred between 17th and 23rd June 2019.
Enjoy a stunning collection of footage with me of a diverse range of aircraft taking off and landing at the airshow including the Airbus A350-1000, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, the Airbus A330-900, the Profit Hunter Embraer E195-E2 and Embraer Preator 600 and the Beriev BE-200. I am also proud to share with you footage of a number of exciting military helicopters and aeroplanes including the Turkish Aerospace T129 Atak, the Embraer KC-390 and even a Pakistani fighter jet!
After this montage, I take a specific and detailed look at eight particular aeroplanes which were present at the Paris Air Show 2019:
1. The ATR72-600 aeroplane of the US airline Silver Airways (although it is not silver, but rather painted in a bright pink livery!) This plane is the world’s best selling turboprop aeroplane and I take great pleasure in exploring its insides with its great storage space and comfortable, 18 inch wide seats. Compared with competitors like Bombardier, ATR’s turboprop plane has the widest cabin space and also uses 40% less fuel than a comparable plane running on a jet engine. High wings ensure great “native in-flight entertainment” or as you probably know it better, passenger views!
I also take the opportunity to make use of a simulator which demonstrates the astounding utility and function of the ATR ClearVision ETS system. This system compliments the real vision of the pilot with added synthetic information in real time so that the pilot can clearly see the surrounding terrain or runway when landing, even when there’s low cloud or fog!
2. The Air Tahiti Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. I am interested to learn that this aeroplane has the largest passenger window of any commercial aircraft and the windows let you see outside, even when it’s dark! Air Tahiti celebrate local art and I am treated to a viewing of the painting “Tahitian Women on the beach” by famed French painter Paul Gauguin, painted in 1891.
I also meet with Boeing’s chief Boeing 787 test pilot and see the cockpit of the plane and its advanced LCD information screens and head up display.
3. The Air Asia Airbus A330-NEO. I see the fully flat, black and red seats of premium economy and the “hot seats” of economy class with extra leg room. I also see the crew rest area and the extensive rear galley for food preparation.
4. The Airbus A321-NEO of the French airline La Compagnie. This plane is single aisle and all 76 seats on board are business class. It is used for trans-Atlantic flights between New York and Paris.
5. The Airbus Vahana – A very high-tech plane which is the flying of the future! It is capable of vertical take off and landing and is 100% electric. It is a “personal air vehicle” for one, which is envisioned to be used by everyday commuters instead of cars or trains. Did I mention that it flies itself? Very cool!
6. The Mitsubishi SpaceJet M100.
7. The Airbus A350-1000 of Qatar Airways. Qatar Airways have recently introduced the “Qsuite” on these aeroplanes. Exclusive to business class, these pods allow a group of four people to interact in comfort, whether that be a two adult and two children family or four businessmen discussing their latest venture. I see the beautiful economy class of this aeroplane and the advanced cockpit – it’s no wonder Qatar Airways were crowned Skytrax airline of the year 2019!
8. The Dassault Falcon 6X – A corporate, long range private jet with an eye-watering price tag of $47 million US dollars. For this, you get stone and marble floors and the largest cross section in a business private jet ever – 104 inches wide and 6ft 6 in tall. A lounge and comfortable dining area await, with the lounge containing long seats which can join together to make a bed.
I had such a great time at the Paris Air Show and the weather was great too! Let me know what your favourite aeroplane was down in the comments and, as always, thanks for watching!

Places to see in ( Aix les Bains - France )
Aix-les-Bains is a thermal spa town on Lake Bourget in the Savoie, eastern France. Swimming, sailing and golf are popular sports. Landmarks include the Roman ruin, Temple of Diana, in the town hall and the belle epoque Château de la Roche du Roi. The Abbaye d'Hautecombe, on the opposite shore of the lake, is a 12th-century royal burial site. Nearby Mont Revard has mountain bike, Alpine and cross-country ski trails.
On the eastern shore of France’s largest freshwater lake, Aix-les-Bans is a chic Savoy resort that radiates old-world glamour. In the 19th century the lake, mountains and curative waters contributed to one of Europe’s most fashionable destinations.
Kings, queens, dukes, maharajas and counts all descended on the resort, and opulent art nouveau palace hotels were built for them. Aix-les-Bains still resonates with this mystique, and is a luxurious home from home for people embarking on mountain hikes, cross-country skiing or watersports on the lake’s glassy waters.
Aix-les-Bains is on the east shore of the largest natural lake in France. Unlike many French lakes there’s no complete perimeter trail, and that’s because the mountains on the west shore plunge almost vertically to the water, which adds to the drama of the place.
But you can ramble to some remote spots to find hides where you can watch the lake’s waterfowl and raptors. In summer you could have a dip these glacial waters at one of Aix-les-Bains’ three sandy beaches, while the marina can be your hub for water-skiing, diving and sailing.

The French town of Annecy is a popular resort just twenty-two miles south of Geneva, Switzerland and about 40 miles west of Chamonix and Mont Blanc in the Alps. Annecy is a beautiful town with a gorgeous lake and parks. The town was part of the House of Savoy that ruled the region from the eleventh century. Savoy didn't officially become part of France until 1860 so the area has a very distinct style all its own.

Places to see in ( Aix les Bains - France ) Lac du Bourget
Lac du Bourget (Lake Bourget), also locally known as Lac Gris (Grey Lake) or Lac d'Aix, is a lake at the southernmost end of the Jura Mountains in the department of Savoie, France. It is the deepest lake located entirely within France, and either the largest or second largest after Lac de Grand-Lieu depending on season.
The largest town on its shore is Aix-les-Bains. Chambéry, the capital of Savoie, lies about 10 km south of the lake. The lake is mainly fed by the river Leysse (and other small rivers), and it drains towards the river Rhône through the Canal de Savières, an artificial channel. It is a Ramsar site. The extinct bezoule was found only in this lake.
The lake was formed during the last period of global glaciation in the Alps (Würm glaciation) during the Pleistocene epoch. It has a surface area of 44.5 square kilometres (4,450 hectares). The long and narrow north-south axis of the lake extends 18 km in length, and ranges between 1.6 km and 3.5 km in width. The lake's average depth is 85 m, and its maximum depth in 145 m. The lake is meromictic, meaning that it has layers that do not mix.
The lake is bordered by the steep summits of the Mont du Chat and the Chaîne de l'Épine on the west, and Bauges Mountains on the east, which form its shores. Lac du Bourget was made famous by several romantic poems of Alphonse de Lamartine, including Le Lac, as well as by descriptions by Xavier de Maistre, Honoré de Balzac, and Alexandre Dumas.
