Ximending Shopping District (Taipei, Taiwan)
Ximending (西門町) is a neighborhood and shopping district in the Wanhua District of Taipei, Taiwan. It was the first pedestrian zone in Taiwan.
Because of its history, Ximending is home to several historical sites. Originally opened as a market, the Red House Theater is another prominent building from the Japanese era.
Completed in 1884 by the Qing Dynasty, Taipei Old North Gate (承恩門 / 承恩门) was previously the northern gate to Taipei City.

How about we experience a stress-free guided cruise around Taiwan’s capital city of Taipei? And we’re gonna do this with the wind in our hair and the sky above us; this is while riding atop a roofless double-decker tour bus! … Sound okay?
Taipei Sightseeing Tour is a guided “hop on hop off” themed tourism bus service that, while winding through this dynamically diverse city, will provide you with a wider perspective of Taipei.
Two routes (red and blue) are respectively offering drive-by perspectives of Taipei’s modern-day lifestyles and also its historical and culturally rich history.
You can hop off at whichever attraction you like. Then you may hop back on when you’re satisfied and the next scheduled bus arrives.
