Philadelphia Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia
Welcome to Philadelphia, considered the birthplace of the United States.
The Declaration of Independence was written and read publicly here in 1776. When you tour Philadelphia, you’ll get a sense of the history that permeates the city through its numerous monuments, symbols, and other landmarks, such as the First Bank of the United States and the warship USS Olympia. Don’t forget to stop by the Liberty Bell and the remains of the Eastern State Penitentiary, which housed notorious criminals like Al Capone.
You don’t need a car to enjoy your Philadelphia sightseeing; take public transportation or rent a bike to explore the city streets at your leisure. Fairmount Park is the perfect place for a stroll, and if you’ve got kids, bring them to the Please Touch Museum, where they can enjoy interactive exhibits and displays that will educate and entertain. If you’ve still got some energy after that, visit the Philadelphia Zoo and make friends with some of the animals. Don’t forget to sample some of the delicious food available in Philadelphia, particularly the fresh goods and cooked meals at the Italian Market.
From culinary delicacies to historical importance, Philadelphia truly has it all.

==========
Where are the best Towns to live in the state of Maryland?
To the untrained eye they are the places that have awesome economies. They’re the places in Old Line State where people have the best jobs, residents are all above average, and the sun shines the most.
However, we don’t trust the untrained eye and instead look to data to understand the best places to call home in Maryland.
There might be some surprises on this list, but when you look at the unbiased data, it’s hard to argue against.
After analyzing 37 places in Maryland, we came up with this list of the best places:
1 - Hampstead.
2 - Rockville.
3 - Bowie.
4 - Poolesville.
5 - Walkersville.
6 - Mount Airy.
7 - La Plata.
8 - Thurmont.
9 - Cheverly.
10 - Takoma Park.

Bushkill Waterfalls. The Niagara of Pennsylvania
The Niagara of Pennsylvania, Bushkill Falls is among the Keystone State's most famous scenic attractions. This unique series of eight waterfalls, nestled deep in the wooded Pocono Mountains, is accessible through an excellent network of hiking trails and bridges which afford fabulous views of the falls and the surrounding forest.
High in the uplands of the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania, streams of crystal pure water bubble up through rifts in primeval rock. These are the headwaters of Bushkill Creek, a great marsh alive with the call of wild birds.
As the waters begin their descent toward the Delaware River far below, they move ever faster toward Bushkill Falls, rushing over Pennell Falls, then between rocky walls through the Upper Canyon and Laurel Glen.
Suddenly the stream drops over the edge of a 100-foot cliff, the majestic Main Falls. From the deep pool at the bottom, banked by ferns, mosses, and wild flowers, the creek now drops another seventy feet through a long and spectacular gorge strewn with gigantic boulders. Trails and bridges lace the area, affording splendid views.
Nature hikers are enthusiastic about the walk to the Bridal Veil Falls. Here you will follow a nice trail by the Pond Run stream. The stream soon flows into the Little Bushkill where the mountain path leads deep into the forest. Spring-fed waters tumble down the mountain side in a series of three lovely falls, so misty in their appearance they are named for brides of love.
Charles E. Peters first opened Bushkill Falls to the public in 1904, with a single path and a swinging bridge over the head of the main falls. Bushkill Falls is still owned by the Peters family.

Sundance Vacations Haunted Property in the Poconos, Pennsylvania
A property owned by Sundance Vacations is allegedly haunted. Like or comment if you would stay the night in room #13!
Room #13 at Woodfield Manor in Swiftwater, PA isn't a normal room. It's home to a middle-aged female ghost who passed on and never left.
Keith, a previous manager of Woodfield, tells Sundance Vacations that he's seen her before, roaming around the reception hall. Apparently she's not just confined to room #13, although that does seem to be her favorite spot.
Current employee JoAnn tells Sundance Vacations that spooky things have happened to her while in the room. Someone drug a shopping bag across the floor while she was in the room and she went running out down the steps.
Others have told her that a lady who lived there long ago drowned her two children in the tub and that they sometimes hear running water at night.
There was so much activity that the manager brought in a medium to investigate the claims. The medium told Woodfield that she sensed a woman died in room #13, but that she wasn't malicious. In fact, she said she's quite benevolent.
The current manager, Theresa, agrees with the medium. She said that she was in the room taking down curtains to change, and in the next room she went to there were clean curtains spread neatly across the bed for her. Maybe the spirit appreciates fresh linens and lending a hand.
Maybe Woodfield Manor is too nice of a place for her to want to leave.
This property is very close to Sundance Vacations King of Prussia and Sundance Vacations Harrisburg PA!

Two old guys making the trek to the best fishing spot in PA
It was only a short walk that seemed more than it was, but it was worth it. Here on the little juniata river is some of the best torut fishing any place in PA
The Little Juniata River, sometimes called the Little J, is a river in central Pennsylvania. It is a 32.1-mile-long (51.7 km)[1] tributary of the Juniata River in the Susquehanna River watershed. It is formed at Altoona by the confluence of several short streams. It flows northeast in the Logan Valley at the foot of Brush Mountain.
At Tyrone, the river receives the southern Bald Eagle Creek, then turns abruptly southeast, passing through a water gap between the Brush and Bald Eagle Mountain ridges and enters the Sinking Valley where it receives Sinking Run. Approximately 6 miles (10 km) northwest of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, near Petersburg, it joins the Frankstown Branch Juniata River, forming the Juniata River.[2]
In colonial America, the river was used to float freight downriver on boats called arcs. Shipments were placed on board in Birmingham, just east of Tyrone to await water high enough to clear the rocky stream bed. Thus the Little Juniata was (and still is) listed as a commercially Navigable river.
The Little Juniata River is a good spot for fly fishing; It holds a Class A population of wild brown trout and requires no stocking. Former President of the United States Jimmy Carter fishes often at Spruce Creek, a j tributary that enters the j at the village of Spruce Creek

The Best National Forest Campsite I've ever Used
This National Forest campsite is pure magic. I took this video of it during the RepubliKKKan Party government shutdown. I've only been able to get this site one time in years of trying. Why do I like it so much?
The campground itself is relatively secluded and is surrounded by high mountains. The are is also packed with wonderful hiking trails, lots of high-quality waterfalls, and plenty of wildlife. This site is very large and on the water. There is only one other campsite beside it, and there is ample space and vegetation separating the two. Despite the fact that we were raided one night by a large black bear at this campsite, it remains the best National Forest site I've ever used.
Where do you find diamonds?
Where do you find diamonds?? Well, we hunted for uncut natural diamonds at Crater of the Diamonds State Parks in Murfreesboro Arkansas. The job was not easy! The days were long and hot and the mining was a bit tedious... Although the journey was quite an adventure!
