Andalucía - THE UNFORGOTTEN DREAM // Granada – Sevilla - Córdoba [4K]
Directed and Edited by Tayeb RAHMANI
It is with immense and indescribable pleasure that I share with you my first experience exploring the magnificent Andalucía.
I spent 12 days traveling solo; unraveling the mysteries behind the breathtaking region’s 3 cities: Sevilla, Córdoba and Granada. The countless videos that I have made of my past trips all compiled together have nothing on the time, energy and love invested into this one. This one was truly a challenge, I must say. A beautiful challenge that is. Everything I’ve learned, I have put into the creation of this piece. A piece that I myself feel fascinated by and that I sure hope will fascinate each and every one of you as well.
Travelling solo has pushed me to open up to new adventures and more importantly, to new friendships. It is mind blowing how quick and easy it is to bond with complete strangers with whom you share the love of travelling. With pure and open hearts, we shared meals and a a few too many laughs. And that was it. Beautiful. Simple. Touching.
On a very last note, I must also share with you one of the many remarkable things that added a special touch to this trip. And that is, the flamenco dance. And what a dance it is. Known as “alfalah almankoub”, it was a way for the peasants to express their suffering and struggle against the bourgeoisie, which will also be seen throughout this piece.
And on that note, ladies and gents, I invite you to dim the lights and turn up the sound to enjoy one of my most heartfelt works.
