5 BEST Rooftop Observation Decks you have to check out in New York, USA
When travel to USA New York, you will want to visit the best views of New York City, including the best rooftops in New York, the best roof terraces in New York and the best observation decks in New York. In this video I’ll show you some of the places to get the best views of New York City. New York is a massive city with amazing architecture and sky scrapers. This means that New York has some of the best and most iconic skylines of any city in the world. A trip to New York would be incomplete without a visit to at least one of the rooftops, terraces or observation decks featured in this video.
You can find information about all the New York observations decks, roof terraces and roof tops:
-Rockefeller Centre: Top of the Rock Observation Deck:
-Upstairs at the Kimberly:
-One World Observatory: The One World Observation Deck was my favourite observation deck in New York for two reasons, one is that is offers spectacular views of Manhattan and two because there is an excellent restaurant / bar where you can spend hours enjoying the views and food. If you pick only one observation deck, then the One World Observatory is the one to go for.
-The High Line: The High Line is an incredible example of industrial gentrification. This elevated train track has been repurposed into a walking garden, which offers excellent views of the West side of the city and the trendy Chelsea neighbourhood. This is one of my favourite spots in New York.
-Empire State Building:
-Haven Rooftop: The Haven Rooftop is not the best view in the city, but what they lack in views is made up in excellent vibe and amazing brunch menu.

If you're like most people, Africa in general is a pretty foreign land to you. And you might be thinking of visiting Cape Town in South Africa, but are concerned with whether it is safe, considering that a lot of folks have heard about the crime levels in the city.
We spent about a week and a half in Cape Town, and we can tell you that the tourist parts you plan to visit are indeed safe. We can also tell you, after talking with many locals, that the city bowl downtown area is not what we'd call safe.

Washington DC Travel Tips: 10 Things to Know Before You Go to DC
Things you NEED to know BEFORE you go to Washington DC. DC is often referred to as The District. You could easily spend a week in DC, especially if you want to see George Washington’s house in Mount Vernon and Thomas Jefferson’s house in Monticello. The City is laid out in a grid pattern with lettered streets running east-west, numbered streets running north-south. Diagonal streets — usually named after states — often intersect at circles (30 circles)
Dupont Circle is my favorite circle. Comprised of four quadrants (NE, NW, SE, and SW), which spread out from the U.S. Capitol.
Getting in
There are three Airports -- none of them actually in DC
Reagan (DCA) -- right next to DC -- connected by Metro or $20 Cab Ride
Washington Dulles (IAD)
Baltimore-Washington (BWI)
Amtrak to Union Station
Or Drive
Transportation in DC
Walk
One of the 10 of the most walkable cities in the USA
Travel + Leisure rated D.C. as the third rudest city in America,
Metro
Smart Trip Card
Capital Bike Share
175 stations across the city
Sign up for a day, or three
Taxis/Uber plentiful
Driving: Beware -- traffic is miserable and oneway streets abound
Parking is expensive -- Use parking panda
Museums
Smithsonians are free
Most on the national mall
Air and Space has 2 locations -- one by Dulles
Newseum and Spy Museum are expensive
My favorite is the Bureau of Engraving and Printing
No reservations required September 5, 2017 through March 2, 2018
Washington Monument elevator is really cool -- but it’s often broken
Best gift shops are in the museums
Government Stuff
Capitol Building or the White House, make sure to book your tickets in advance.
Capitol tour, reservations online or through your Congressional representative or senator.
Capitol Visitor Center provides a limited number of day-passes starting at 9 a.m.
White House, reserve a few months before your trip. Thru congressional representative.
Time to visit
Cherry Blossom Season
Not the summer when all the school kids are there
And the Summer is oppressively hot and humid, especially in August
And maybe not when the govt is in full swing
I like Winter -- no crowds at all
Hotels
Can be really expensive, as can parking
My favorites are the Park Hyatt and the Mayflower
Stay outside of DC in Arlington or Alexandria for cheaper hotels
Just a short metro ride in to the city
Food
The national mall and monument area has almost no food
Union Station and Le’fant plaza good for lunch, or around the white house
Avoid the Chinese food in Chinatown -- it’s all really awful
But George Bush’s favorite Chinese restaurant is just 20 minutes driving outside of DC
Peking Gourmet Inn in Fall Church -- Awesome Peking Duck
My Favorites: Potbelly
My Favorites: Moby Dick House of Kabob
My Favorites: Ben’s Chili Bowl
DC is more than just monuments and the National Mall
Get out and see the real DC
Georgetown
Penn Quarter
Adams Morgan
Smithsonian Zoo
U Street
Walk the red line

Atacama Desert - Chile Travel Guide (HD)
Visit Atacama Desert, Chile - Atacama Desert Tourism (HD) - Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina
Travel Videos HD, World Travel Guide
The Atacama Desert ( Desierto de Atacama) is a plateau in South America, covering a 1,000-kilometre (600 mi) strip of land on the Pacific coast, west of the Andes mountains. It is the driest non-polar desert in the world. According to estimates the Atacama Desert proper occupies 105,000 square kilometres (41,000 sq mi), but its size rises to 128,000 square kilometres (49,000 sq mi) when the barren lower slopes of the Andes are included. Most of the desert is composed of stony terrain, salt lakes (salares), sand, and felsic lava that flows towards the Andes.

=========
explora Atacama is located in the Ayllu de Larache (initially a kin-based community of the ancient Atacameño people), near the village of San Pedro de Atacama

London's Greenwich - one of the world's top 10 destinations
Leading global travel publisher Frommer's, a branded imprint of John Wiley & Sons Inc., has revealed the Frommer's Top Destinations List for 2012. This distinguished annual list, compiled by Frommer's writers and editors, features an inspiring choice of established and up and coming destinations that travellers should be considering in 2012. London Greenwich makes the cut this year alongside the Catalan city of Girona in Spain, Mexico's exotic Yucatan Peninsula, the hip city of Beirut in Lebanon re-emerging after decades of civil war, and Chonqging, China, often cited as the world's biggest metropolis.
Frommer's writers and editors said 2012 is London Greenwich's time to shine as it celebrates Olympic events, the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and becomes a Royal Borough. London's brand new cable car is also set to launch in Greenwich next year. Frommer's praised historic Greenwich's ability to continually reinvent itself since it emerged as a naval centre in the 18th Century and highlighted the remarkable baroque facades by architects such as Wren, Hawksmoor and Vanbrugh along the waterfront as well as the beautiful views one can take in across the oldest of the Royal parks, Greenwich Park to the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf.
Mark Henshall, Regional Editor, said: Every year Frommer's authors and editors put their heads together to determine the best travel inspirational experiences for the year ahead. Our annual list draws from our individual local knowledge, passion and expertise, and is a great resource for travellers searching for their next extraordinary getaway. Our top picks offer smart and lesser known alternatives to overrun spots as well as emerging and rediscovered destinations that will wow you.
New for 2012, Frommer's has also scoured the globe for destinations that match the interests of particular travellers. To name a few, Frommer's urges explorers to experience the rugged wilderness of Chile's Aysen region before proposed dams fuel industrial growth on its pristine rivers; cruise fans should add Tromso in Norway to their lists to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights; while travellers keen to tighten their purse strings should consider the Albanian Riviera next year as it has all the natural attractions of its Croatian counterpart but without the crowds and considerable expense.
The list also includes the Frommer's Readers' Favourite destination, Turkey, which received 51% of the overall vote from the ten destinations up for nomination. Turkey beat South Africa to the top spot. In describing the win, Frommer's editors raved about Istanbul's unique positioning at the crossroads of Europe and Asia and the stunning coastlines of the Mediterranean coast. The 7.6 magnitude earthquake that hit eastern Turkey on Sunday 23rd October does not dampen Frommer's enthusiasm for what the country has in store for 2012. Modern Turkey and its past incarnations have seen their share of natural and man-made challenges throughout the centuries. As the Frommer's Turkey author Lynn A. Levine puts it ... there is one undeniable common denominator, and that is that Turkey, and the Turkish people, know how to do hospitality.
