Take a quick video tour of Monkey Island Road Reserve campsite and campground. The site is located close to Orepuki and Pahia.
Monkey Island Road Reserve Review:
Sadly, no monkeys at Monkey Island-this objectively makes it the worst monkey island ever. Don't fret though; This is a beautiful campsite and one of the best free campsites in New Zealand. That also makes it one of the busiest however.
Don't miss the secret water tap that is at the freestanding building on site. It seemed like most people didn't realize it was even there! Priceless place to catch a sunset and one of the best beach areas on the south island. If there could possibly be a negative, it would be that the site is very popular and some campers have obviously set up shop to stay there more than a week. This popular site is likely a madhouse during the summer but check the CamperMate app for the most up to date information.
Campsite Details:
Long Drop Toilets (2)
Water on Tap but must be boiled
Free Camping Site
Freedom camping allowed
Trash Cans on site
Very popular site right on the Ocean

Best Tour to do on a day trip from Queenstown or Wanaka
For those visiting Queenstown or Wanaka, the Cardrona Valley is becoming the new must see day trip destination.
The beautifully scenic road along Cardrona Valley merges with the route over the Crown Range which, at 1121 metres, is the highest main road in New Zealand.
Our choice for best tour in the Cardrona Valley is 'The Cardrona' family friendly horse trekking and quad biking tours. The tours take place on a 15,000 acre high country farm.

10-day horse trek in Mongolia
This summer we had the amazing opportunity to go on a 10 days horse trek in Mongolia.
The experience was fantastic. Even though we had zero horse riding skills, we embraced the adventure and found ourselves a new passion.
Actually, we found ourselves two new passions : horse riding AND Mongolia!
We would like to thank Horse Trek Mongolia for organizing such an amazing trek. If you want to discover Mongolia on a horseback, they are amongst the very best local tour companies.
What makes them really stand out is the fact they decided to donate 20% of the tariff from all their treks to support the kids of the Children of the Peak Sanctuary Kindergarten. Created by the Veloo Foundation, the mission of this registered charity is to help children whose family rely on a garbage dump to survive, feed and clothe.

A collection of some of my favorite GoPro clips from my solo backpacking trip around the world!
I made it to 40 countries on 5 continents over 20 months (588 days).
After graduating college, I worked for two years, saved up some money, quit my job in 2015, and set off to travel the world. This is the first video I've managed to put together since being home, but I'm planning on making a few more in the future!
