Plévenon is a commune in the Côtes-d'Armor department of Brittany in northwestern France. On January 1, 1973, Plévenon was merged with the commune of Pléherel, after which the new commune was called Fréhel. However, Plévenon was re-established as a separate commune in October 2004.

Rochefort-en-Terre is a commune in the Morbihan department of Brittany in north-western France. Rochefort-en-Terre is a designated “Petite Cité de Caractére”. The medieval chateau located in the town was the home of American painter Alfred Klots. He purchased the chateau in the early 1900s and oversaw its restoration. His son Trafford Klots inherited the chateau and continued to paint there and entertain other visiting artists. After his death his wife donated the building to the French government. In the grounds of the building is the NAIA museum, named after an early twentieth century witch who lived in the town. It houses a small collection of fantasy and kinetic art and sculpture.

With the operator Corsair we drove in sunny but windy weather by boat to Cap Fréhel. The cap is a promontory on the Emerald Coast in the north-eastern Brittany. The bizarre coastlines, the bird sanctuaries and the headland with the Fort la Latte have from the water its special charm!

Mit der Reederei Corsair fuhren wir bei sonnigem aber windigem Wetter mit dem Boot zum Cap Fréhel. Das Cap ist eine Landzunge an der Côte d'Émeraude in der nordöstlichen Bretagne. Die bizarren Küstenabschnitte, die Vogelschutzgebiete und die Landspitze mit dem Fort la Latte haben von der Wasserseite seinen besonderen Reiz !

Just 500 metres from the city centre, two kilometres of beach with sand and pebbles from Le Havre to Sainte-Adresse. The promenade is lined with an aquatic garden, playgrounds and relaxation areas. The beach is supervised by lifeguards in summer. A famous funboard spot in Sainte-Adresse.

The Sports Department provides watersports equipment rental and boat trips in summer at the “Point Plage” (next to the “Bains Maritimes”) in the frame of the summer activities of the watersports resort. “Point plage” also offers the opportunity to rent (available for people aged 16 and over, with the parents’ permission for teenagers under 18) canoes (single and double), windsurfing boards, funboards, paddleboards, and skimboards.

The “Bains Maritimes” put lockers, hot showers, toilets, bike rentals and equipment loans for disabled people at your disposal. Facing the sea the CNH swimming club offers a 50-metre pool and a leisure pool with a counter-current system and bubble loungers, water gymnastics classes, a small pool, a water dome with fun activities for kids, a 100-square metre gym and a club house.

Special facilities allow disabled people to access the entire site which has been awarded the “Tourism & Handicap” label. During the season, restaurants with terraces facing the sea serve a diversified cuisine, including classic French and more exotic flavours.
