Adelaide CBD - South Australia
Adelaide is the coastal capital city of the state of South Australia, and the fifth-most populous city of Australia.
Named in honour of Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen, queen consort to King William IV, the city was founded in 1836 as the planned capital for a freely-settled British province in Australia.
Adelaide is north of the Fleurieu Peninsula, on the Adelaide Plains between the Gulf St Vincent and the low-lying Mount Lofty Rangeswhich surround the city. Adelaide stretches 20 km (12 mi) from the coast to the foothills, and 94 to 104 km (58 to 65 mi) from Gawler at its northern extent to Sellicks Beach in the south.
Adelaide CBD located by River Torrens and close to a museums such as the Art Gallery of South Australia, displaying expansive collections including noted Indigenous art, and the South Australian Museum, devoted to natural history. The city's Adelaide Festival is an annual international arts gathering with spin-offs including fringe and film events.

The Adelaide Central Market is a must see if you are in Adelaide. It is located between Gouger and Grote Streets right next to China Town. It's open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. You can buy nearly anything there - fresh and prepared foods, as well as souvenirs and clothes. And there are a number of food courts as well as cafes and restaurants there too.

Welcome to our Island and to the 7th annual Martha's Vineyard International Film Festival (September 6-9, 2012). Our ongoing theme is Other Places and once more we're revving up Vineyard Haven with an outstanding line-up of the best in international cinema. This years film selections are major award-winners from every corner of the globe—from the countries of the Middle East and Africa, from Europe and Asia, and from North, South, and Central America, too!
Friday there's a choice of nine superb feature films, plus the 10 finalists of this year's juried SHORT FILM COMPETITION. Another popular repeat from last year is the Reel Food Dinner (& a Movie!) at the always-delicious Saltwater Restaurant.
On Saturday, screenings start at 2pm. The cinematic smorgasbord includes Oscar-nominee Bill Plympton's latest ANIMATED SHORTS program plus a full slate of award-winning documentaries, dramas, and comedies.
Sunday afternoon we'll screen over 10 films, and close with a double billing: A rescreening of the short film compeition winner and our closing night premiere film.
