NORWEGIAN BLISS Docking in PUERTO CALDERA, Costa Rica l Cruise Vlog l Ep. 14
It's a new day which means we are docking in Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica! The sail in is very pretty as you cruise past lush jungle and cargo ships. Lots of people recommend to book an excursion for this port since there is not much to do right at the industrial cruise dock. Some other cruise ships dock at another port in Costa Rica-Puntarenas. The tour we're doing today is through Norwegian Cruise Line though most other cruise lines offer this tour as well. It is called: A REAL COFFEE EXPERIENCE. Here is the tour description from NCL's website:
This experience allows for an intimate glimpse inside one of the most important aspects that defines Costa Rica as the strongest nation in all of Central America. Coffee cultivation has been the primary source of income for many Costa Rican families since the turn of the 19th century. You’ll visit a 670-acre cooperative farm owned by more than 2,300 farmers of who 60% are women. Each member contributes almost 10 acres of land to the coop. The coffee that they cultivate and produce is sold directly to one of the largest coffee companies in the world, Starbucks. This coffee is also purchased by Rainforest Alliance, an organization that focuses on the conservation of biodiversity and sustainable development.
You’ll experience first hand the coffee roasting process and have the chance to sample the flavorful brewing. Also see how the coffee beans, also known as cherries, are picked, sorted, peeled, fermented and sun-dried. Learn many interesting facts that may change your appreciation of this highly consumed beverage. Feel free to browse the selection of hand-made souvenirs before heading to the town of Sarchi. A photo-stop will be made at the largest oxcart monument ever built and a stop at the factory that made it; see the ancient water wheel that propels most of the machinery they use to cut and saw the wood.
As always, make sure to watch in HD for the best video quality! Hope you enjoy! :)

A Real Coffee Tour: Puntarenas & Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica l Cruise Vlog L Ep. 15
Now that we have gotten off the Norwegian Bliss in Puerto Caldera, it is now time to get on a bus and make our way to a coffee plantation! To be honest, this tour ended up not being what I thought it was going to be like. I definitely learned a lot though I was bored during most of the tour. Of course, that is just my opinion! This tour is through Norwegian Cruise Line though most cruise lines offer this excursion! It is called, A REAL COFFEE TOUR and here is the description from NCL's website:
A comfortable ride will take you through the pastoral countryside of the province of Puntarenas and a wide variety of landscapes that include rich farmlands, lush forests and mountain views, as you approach the highlands of Atenas, a charming town located in the Occidental Valley of the country. It is recognized for having the “best climate and purest air in the world” and for being one of the production areas with the best coffee crops in the country. The characteristics offered by the privileged climate of the zone, the careful selection of the beans by our producers and a rigorous quality control, in compliance with international certifications, allows us to offer the best Costa Rican coffee to the entire world.
A great team of tour guides will join you through every stage of the production process of this fine gourmet coffee. During your visit to the plantation and processing plant, you will have the opportunity to live with us the experience behind a delicious cup of coffee. Learn, along with our experts, how we process and roast coffee from our producer´s farms, in harmony with the environment, and how COOPEATENAS benefits more than 1300 producers, their families, and the community.
Before return to the ship a visit to El Jardín Souvenir Market, here you will have plenty of opportunities to browse around their shop, sample a delicious tropical fruit.
As always, make sure to watch in HD for the best video quality! Hope you enjoy! :)

Driving around Montezuma Costa Rica
See what Montezuma, a small beach town in the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica is like. Montezuma has beautiful beaches, great surfing and lots of waterfalls. Has a very chill, laid back atmosphere and is popular with backpackers.

ANTIGUA, GUATEMALA & Norwegian Bliss Sea Day l Cruise Vlog l Ep. 13
We have finally arrived in Antigua, Guatemala, from our hour long drive from the cruise port in Puerto Quetzal. This is a hop on hop off tour through Norwegian Cruise Line though this tour is also offered on most other cruise lines! There weren't too many shore excursion options offered for this port so that is why we decided on this one. I liked that we went to many places in Antigua that we would not have vistied if we would have just took the bus transfer to Antigua and then have four hours of free time. The excursion is called, Antigua Hop On Hop Off and here is the tour description from NCL's website:
See the highlights of Antigua Guatemala with a “Hop On, Hop Off” bus pass that allows you to linger in favorite attractions before hopping on another bus to a different highlight.
After departing from the pier, you will settle in for a wonderfully scenic drive through the mountainous inland terrain and on to Antigua Guatemala. The city was the country’s capital until a series of earthquakes forced it to be moved to Guatemala City in the late 1770s.
Antiqua Guatemala was subsequently rebuilt, and the beautiful architecture that stands today spurred UNESCO to declare it a World Heritage site, as few Latin American cities feature so many intact colonial buildings. Be sure to notice the Italian Renaissance-inspired grid layout of cobblestone streets, another reason for the UNESCO recognition.
While touring with a complimentary “Hop On, Hop Off” bus pass, you can see the attractions that interest you to most. Architecture buffs might browse the many earthquake-resistant buildings constructed with decorative stucco in the regional barroco antigueño style.
Religious sites are also abundant with two of the most impressive being the Baroque-style La Merced Church and the 18th-century Convent of Capuchinas. The latter has been thoroughly restored and features a round tower surrounded by the nuns’ sparse quarters.
Shoppers will find a wide variety of excellent merchandise throughout town, including traditional textiles, eco-friendly house decorations and fine leather goods. A good place to start is the Casa de los Gigantos mall.
As always, make sure to watch in HD for the best video quality! Hope you enjoy! :)

Puerto Quetzal to Antigua, Guatemala l NORWEGIAN BLISS VLOG l Ep. 12
Now that we're docked in Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala, it's time for us to depart on our excursion! We booked the Norwegian Cruise Line tour: ANTIGUA HOP ON HOP OFF. There weren't too many tours offered here and the idea of a hop on hop off bus interested us. Mind you, this tour is not your stereotypical hop on hop off type of bus tour. Here is the description from NCL's website:
