The Abbey of Fontenay is a former Cistercian abbey located in the commune of Marmagne, near Montbard, in the département of Côte-d'Or in France. It was founded by Saint Bernard of Clairvaux in 1118, and built in the Romanesque style. It is one of the oldest and most complete Cistercian abbeys in Europe, and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981. Of the original complex comprising church, dormitory, cloister, chapter house, caldarium, refectory, dovecote and forge, all remain intact except the refectory and are well maintained. The Abbey of Fontenay, along with other Cistercian abbeys, forms a connecting link between Romanesque and Gothic architectures.
St. Bernard walks like a model at a dog show in Delhi
St. Bernard, Golden Labrador, Shih tzu and Black Pomeranian participate in ramp walk during a mass canine wedding at Ansal Plaza in Delhi.
Many pet lovers were delighted to attend the first of its kind mass wedding for dogs on 30th October 2008. It was the nation's first official dog marriage pageant! The special ceremony was organized in New Delhi at the Ansal Plaza amphitheatre. The mass wedding was hosted by Ansal Plaza to help pet lovers find mates for their pet dogs. Described to be the first mass wedding for dogs in India, the venue witnessed 500 dogs, clad in snazzy bridal outfits, bond with to-be life partners. Dogs wearing glitzy attire walked the ramp to woo audiences and win the hearts of judges. Over 400 dog owners registered their pets for the nuptials. Awards for Most well-dressed dog and Best behaved dog highlighted some of the facets of the participants and comprised one of the chied attractions for the onlookers. The event was a treat for dog lovers. The main attraction of the event was the marriage ceremony of Theo and Nano, the winners chosen by the judges after they had walked on the red carpet. Everyone showered the canine couple with petals of roses and wished them luck as well.
The St. Bernard is a breed of very large working dog from the Italian and Swiss Alps, originally bred for rescue. The breed has become famous through tales of alpine rescues, as well as for its enormous size.
The Labrador Retriever, also known as simply Labrador or Lab, is one of several kinds of retrievers, a type of gun dog. They are even-tempered and well-behaved around young children and the elderly. Labradors are athletic, playful, and the most popular breed of dog by registered ownership in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States (since 1991).
A shih tzu is a toy dog breed weighing 5--7.25 kilograms (11.0--16.0 lb) with long silky hair. The breed originated in China. Shih Tzu were officially recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1969. The name is both singular and plural. The Shih Tzu is a small, sturdy little dog with a short muzzle and large dark eyes. With a soft and long double coat, it stands no more than 26.7 cm (101⁄2 in.) at the withers and with an ideal weight of 4.5 to 7.3 kg (10 to 16 lbs). Drop ears are covered with long fur, and the heavily furred tail is carried curled over the back.
The Pomeranian (often known as a Pom or Pom Pom) is a breed of dog of the Spitz type, named for the Pomerania region in Central Europe (today part of northern Poland and eastern Germany). Classed as a toy dog breed because of its small size, the Pomeranian is descended from the larger Spitz type dogs, specifically the German Spitz. It has been determined by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale to be part of the German Spitz breed, and in many countries, they are known as the Zwergspitz (Dwarf Spitz).

Lyon & Church of Saint Nizier, France
Lyon & Church of Saint Nizier, France
In Church of Saint-Nizier in Lyon lies the mortal remains of Pauline-Marie Jaricot
At the age of seventeen, after a serious fall and the death of her mother, she began to lead a life of intense prayer, and on Christmas Day, 1816, took a vow of perpetual virginity. She established a union of prayer among pious servant girls, the members of which were known as the Réparatrices du Sacré-Coeur de Jésus-Christ. She wrote at this time, If only I could love without reluctance….without measure….without end.”. By saying this Pauline Jaricot sowed the seeds of the society for the Propagation of faith. Her idea was that people would commit to sacrifice a “sou” (a very small coin about the worth of a penny) every week. then these people would find ten other people who would do the same and then on and on.
