Memories 2017 is a series of videos I did not have time to edit last year so now I´m posting them randomly in my youtube, hope you like them.
This video is about the time we went backpacking for 5 days in the coast of oaxaca mexico, we went to the city of oaxaca, montealban archeological zone, huatulco, puerto angel, san agustinillo, zipolite, mazunte, punta cometa, etc. Follow my daily life on:

San Agustinillo - Oaxaca, Mexico
Visit Playa San Agustinillo in Oaxaca, Mexico. About a 15-minute drive west of Viewpoint down the Oaxaca coast, San Agustinillo boasts a 1,300 meter long beach divided into 3 sections by rocky jut-outs that reach into the ocean. The far west end of the beach is called Playa Rinconcillo, a well-sheltered area that is great for swimming. This area is where most of the fishermen offer boat and sportfishing tours. The easternmost section is called Playa Aragon which has strong waves and undertow. From June to December it is possible to see Olive Ridley turtles laying their eggs on the beaches of San Agustinillo.

Mazunte es un pueblo mágico ubicado en la Costa del Pacífico,
con playas increíbles y una magia que te contagia.

Te recomendamos mucho hospedarte en el Hotel El Copal, que se encuentra a tres minutos caminando de la Playa Mermejita. Es un lugar que ha sabido aprovechar su entorno y hacer una simbiosis con el medio ambiente. Cuenta con Tipis y Cabañas frescas y cómodas. No esperes aire acondicionado ni refri en el cuarto, Mazunte no se trata de eso; disfruta la naturaleza y la paz que trae la brisa del mar.

El restaurante que te recomendamos es Estrella Fugaz, no es el único en Mazunte pero si es de los más sabrosos, aquí te dejamos el link hacia su página de Facebook, por si quieres saber sus promociones y los eventos que tienen programados.
Para tomar los tours, nada más tienes que caminar por la playa y de seguro alguien va a acercarse y ofrecerte cualquiera de los dos paseos. Ojo, te recomendamos mucho negociar el precio, a veces puedes conseguir un descuento. Es normal que te pidan 50 pesos como adelanto para reservar tu lugar para la mañana siguiente, los lancheros son gente de palabra, pero si te da desconfianza, solo pídeles que te den un recibo, no pasa nada.
Te recomendamos subir a Punta Cometa una media hora antes de que se ponga el sol, revisa en tu celular la hora exacta del ocaso para que no llegues demasiado temprano ni muy tarde para disfrutarlo. Súper importante que entiendas que es un lugar SAGRADO para la gente de Mazunte, ten respeto, ahí no eres más que un invitado, sigue las reglas y deposita la basura en los contenedores que el pueblo colocó en la entrada. Hace poco hubo avistamientos de venados en la zona, por favor conserva el lugar limpio para preservar este santuario.
Zipolite es una playa hermana de Mazunte, queda a 15 minutitos en carro o en camión. Es muy sencillo llegar y te la vas a pasar alucinante ;) ;)

Garmin Inreach Explorer + ...Although we still have our SPOT we now use our Garmin Inreach almost exclusively. The coverage area seems better, we can get weather updates and download maps as well as communicate 2 way with others in case we needed help. It's taken the place of our 10 year old SPOT.
