Torre Mileto is the seaside resort and the only fraction of the municipality of San Nicandro Garganico in the province of Foggia, situated on the coastal strip between the lakes of Lesina and Varano. The toponym, which improperly identifies also a part of the isthmus that separates the Lake of Lesina from the sea, refers to a coastal sighting and defense tower, probably one of the largest and oldest on the Adriatic coast, as well as the nearest mainland point absolutely in the Tremiti Islands for the distance of only 11 miles. The area surrounding the tower is of considerable archaeological and naturalistic interest, due to the presence of settlements ranging from the Neolithic to the Middle Ages and thanks to the luxuriant forms of Mediterranean maquis and a cliff rich in biomarine species, ravines and freshwater springs . The tower rises on a short peninsula, off which the seabed houses the wreck of a Marsiliana, the Poma Santa Maria, sunk under mysterious circumstances in 1607 and suspected of carrying an illicit cargo of weapons, including some cannons : of these three were recovered in 1975 by the Archaeological Superintendence of Puglia, in collaboration with the Nucleo Sommozzatori of the Carabinieri of Taranto, and are still exposed outside the tower. The western area of the promontory of Torre Mileto was affected by a campaign of archaeological excavations, aimed at investigating the presence on the site of various protohistoric settlements.

San Marco in Lamis is part of the Gargano National Park, a protected area founded in 1991, that is mainly covered by forest (the so-called Foresta Umbra).
Apart from some tourism connected to pilgrimages at the local Catholic sanctuary of St. Matthew, the economy is mostly based on agriculture.

Peschici FG, si trova sul litorale nord del Gargano, al centro di un tratto di costa, in parte sabbiosa e in parte rocciosa.
Nota località balneare, per via del suo mare terso e dei suoi paesaggi suggestivi.
Questo grazioso Borgo è sicuramente da vedere per via per la sua posizione naturalistica, infatti sorge su uno sperone roccioso a picco sul mare; inoltre offre delle specialità culinarie succulente.
Pèschici è ancor oggi quasi tutta contenuta negli antichi confini. L'intero centro storico è rimasto immacolato, con la cinta muraria utilizzata ad abitazioni, le strette stradine quasi tutte a scale o a gradoni e le tipiche abitazioni nella roccia (sotto la porta del castello, in Via Borghetto sul Mare e in V.le Kennedy). Piazza del Popolo era il centro del Borgo Antico: vi si affaccia la Chiesa della Madonna del Suffraggio (detta del Purgatorio) dalla facciata con l'orologio. E poi ancora il Castello (rifatto intorno al 1240 e successivamente nel '600, roccaforte del Recinto Baronale) il Palazzo della Torre (di origine quattrocentesca) la Chiesa di S. Elia (già esistente nel '500). Ma lo spettacolo più suggestivo dell'intero centro storico è la cura e la pulizia con cui sono tenuti quegl'incantevoli vicoletti con i balconi fioriti, merito indiscutibile della gente che vi abita ed esempio per chiunque da prendere a modello.

La Torre di Sfinale is a coastal tower located in the municipality of Peschici on a promontory at the northern end of the Sfinale bay.
In the area corresponding to the ancient district of Capitanata there are 25 sighting towers, four of which are located in the territory of Peschici. The tower of Sfinale was erected between 1568 and 1569 by the manager Giovanni della Monica at the behest of Alfonso Salazar, a high official of the Kingdom of Naples, 16 km from Peschici in the direction of Vieste. Abandoned since the 1700s, it stands on a small ledge in an elevated position above a cave in the Sfinale Bay in front of the Scialmarino beach, an optimal location for visual communication with two other sighting towers that in case of need were alerted by large fires. The structure with a quadrangular plan, 14 meters on each side, built with a slight embankment of the walls stands as a truncated pyramid with a height of 13 meters on three levels and the third presumably built with different materials. the crowning, now in structural degradation, presents 4 or 5 drains on each side. Access is raised and originally served by wooden stairs that were withdrawn if necessary, then replaced by a masonry structure.

Vieste is a town, comune and former Catholic bishopric in the province of Foggia, in the Apulia region of southeast Italy. A marine resort in Gargano, Vieste has received Blue Flags for the purity of its waters from the Foundation for Environmental Education. The area covered by the comune is included in the Gargano National Park. In mediaeval times, the port was frequently attacked by pirates, Saracens and other enemies of the Kingdom of Naples. In 1554 around 7,000 inhabitants were enslaved by the Turks, with those being deemed too elderly or infirm to merit transportation into slavery executed. This event is commemorated annually in a ceremony. The town is bordered by Mattinata, Monte Sant'Angelo, Peschici and Vico del Gargano. The coast is interesting from a geological point of view. Next to the town there are two large, straight beaches. The rest of the coast is made up of gulfs and small, hidden sandy beaches. Erosion by water and wind has shaped the calcareous rock into grottoes and arches. Since the coast is steep, some of the finest sights can be reached only by sea. Until a few decades ago, its main resources were fishing and agriculture. Now tourism, with hotels, resorts and camping facilities, has transformed the town's appearance, economy and lifestyle.
