Sanxia's main tourist attractions are the Sanxia Old Street (三峽老街) and the Qingshui Zushi Temple (清水祖師廟, which means Divine Ancestor Temple). Sanxia Old Street is a business street built during Japanese rule. It is a very well preserved example of Japanese colonial architecture of the time. The street features stores selling art, ceramics and local specialty foods, especially Bull Horn croissants.
Sanxia District (三峽區) is the second largest district in New Taipei City after Wulai District.
The old name of Sanxia, Sa-kak-eng (三角湧, meaning triangular surge) refers to the meeting of the Dahan River (大漢溪), Sanxia River (三峽河) and Horizontal River.

常有人問我，如果中文很難學，為什麼我還要申請來臺灣學中文，因此激發我拍攝這部影片。儘管是簡單的問題，也是有很多原因可以回答。
我希望以紀錄片的方式可以讓你一窺我在臺灣的生活和體驗，分享我所走過的地方、認識的朋友和美食。
學中文不僅只是在教室裡，而我希望觀眾們能更和我感同身受，這兩個月來我所有的人生體驗。
Many people often ask me if learning Chinese is difficult and why I chose to apply to come and learn Chinese in Taiwan. This is the inspiration behind my video. Although it it s simple question, there are many elements to the answer.
I hope my video, filmed in a documentary style will give a glimpse into my life and experiences in Taiwan. I wanted to show my real friends, real food and real places I had visited.
Learning Chinese is more than a classroom activity and I hope the viewer will be able to get a sense of this and a feel for my overall experience in these past two months.

There are a plethora of Old Streets in Taiwan. Dihua Old Street has been around since the 1600s. Come with me as we walk through this historical area in Taipei to see what it has to offer. There are charming temples, a myriad of Traditional Chinese Medicine stores selling things such as shark fins, dried fungus and herbs, bird sylvia nests and wild berries.

Outside of Taipei you can visit and hike in Taroka National Park and Taroka Gorge, visit a resort that is also an ecological farm, tour a paper factory, see Sun Moon Lake and the Wenwu Temple, see a church made out of paper, tour the oldest city in Taiwan, Tainan, and it's historic sites and experience going 185 mph on Taiwan's High Speed Train. These are just a few of the things you can experience when you tour the island of Taiwan.
