SUBSCRIBE: - Let;s visit The Vienna Central Cemetery (German: Wiener Zentralfriedhof) which is one of the largest cemeteries in the world by number of interred, and is the most famous cemetery in the beautiful city of Vienna in Austria.
Vienna has been a city of music since time immemorial, and the municipality expressed gratitude to composers by granting them monumental tombs. Interred in the Central Cemetery are notables such as Ludwig van Beethoven; Franz Schubert, who were moved to the Central Cemetery from Währinger Ostfriedhof in 1888; Johannes Brahms; Antonio Salieri; Johann Strauss II and Arnold Schoenberg. A cenotaph honours Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who is buried in nearby St. Marx Cemetery.

Schoenburg Schloss
High up on a hill overlooking the Rhine river, close to where the Lorelei rock used to lure sailors onto the rocks, there is the Schoenburg, a middle aged romantic castle, built in the 10th century, one of the most expressive German castles on the Rhine river. Behind its ramparts and towers the Schöönburg is the perfect castle hotel, intimate and elite.
The facade is a fairy tale picture of towers and battlements reached by crossing a narrow wooden bridge.
Many of the original features, the stone walls and pillars, archways and old beams have been carefully restored so that history and luxurious comfort are both in evidence. Outside, vineyards slope down to the Rhine river and ivy clings to the castle walls.
Cobbles worn smooth by feet through the ages wind through the castle to the hotel at the summit.
The terrace view is superb, dropping steeply to the Rhine river below.
The bedrooms are shaped by the unusual castle buildings with fairy tale drapery over the beds, lovely traditional furniture, and splendid views through lead-paned windows to the beautiful Rhine river valley, the terraced vineyards and the medieval town within an impressing town wall. Tower rooms sit atop steep winding staircases and several rooms have balconies overlooking the Rhine river. The bathrooms are tastefully renovated and offer all modern comfort. In the evenings guests gather for a drink in the magnificent salon with stone walls, a handsome fireplace, crossed swords old pictures in antique frames and shelves of leather bound books before dining on specialities of the Middle Rhine river valley or indulging themselves with the gourmet menu.
Dinner is served either in the knights' dining room or, if the weather permits, on the Rhine terrace with its spectacular view of the river. Prestigious wines are listed. This is a marvelous base for exploring this part of Germany and to start off for tours of the Rhine river valley and its surroundings.

Cycling Along Europe's Rivers: 20 Years of Touring in Europe
I have spent 20 years touring Europe by bike, taking 10-14 day vacations each year from the United States. Many have asked me how to do these trips, so I decided to write a book. A practical guide of how to do these trips, and 25 suggested routes along Europe's rivers.
I want to tell you about Cycling Along Europe's Rivers: Bicylce Touring Made Easy and Affordable. I have tried to give advice from 20 years of touring -- how to take self-guided bike trips to Europe that are affordable and easy to organize. Here is my website: cycletouringbooks.com.
In this book I cover rides along the Rhine River, Danube River, Elbe River, Loire River, Po River, Neckar River, Mosel River, Main River, and More.
This book was also in collaboration with the great European bike map book company, Bikeline, showing you how to use these books even if you don't speak German.
The book is available on Amazon. Thank you.
