SOČA VALLEY - Rolling in the river Soča(best rafting adventure in Europe)
Soča river rafting is rated as one of the best rafting adventures in Europe for it’s unique emerald colour, fun and thrilling rafting experience in spectacular Julian Alps scenery.
This is one of the five most beautiful adventures in Slovenia.
The Soča Valley with its pristine and picturesque nature is a paradise for active leisure and a true treasury of experiences.
The Emerald river has variable sections, which offers a great fun for all generations: we can choose calm stretches suitable for families with small children, and more demanding parts for adrenaline seekers.
Through rafting on the rapids of the emerald river we strengthen the team spirit and admire the beauty surrounding us.
The most popular rafting route on the River Soča is 10 km long and runs from the bridge near Log Čezsoški, in the immediate vicinity of Boka Waterfall, to Trnovo ob Soči. The first gentle rapids of the River Soča accompany the rowing team with a guide, followed by more demanding parts of the river.
Sports agencies in the Soča Valley will provide for the safe organisation of the trip.
RAFTING SEASON: April-October

LENGHT: 10 km
DURATION: on water 1.5h, together 2.5hs

Most Beautiful Waterfalls in Sri Lanka | Travel Guide 2019
Most Beautiful Waterfalls in Sri Lanka | Travel Guide 2019
The country is home to more than 100 waterfalls and rivers which at the end of the day stops at the Indian Ocean. Waterfalls are mostly located in the Hill Country. Some of the waterfalls are man-made but still doesn't stop short of being breathtakingly beautiful. Unknown waterfalls are still present, those that weren't officially discovered. Most of the waterfalls are very difficult to find because of the dense forests and are sometimes totally inaccessible. Only a handful of waterfalls are used to bathe in, whereas the others are too dangerous to do so.
Ravana Ella
Situated in the Dry zone off Welimada this beautiful waterfall is a continuous stream of life to the villagers. It provides much-needed water for the cultivation of vegetables, their main income. The life-line role of this tiny, yet beautiful waterfall is seen when we first arrived at the village. While the surrounding mountains were dirty and dry this particular mountain was greenish and cultivated. According to villages the water of this stream has to be protected from smugglers day and night and for that, they have ” a shift duty”. It is 40m (131ft) tall and in the Uduhawara village.
Dunhinda Waterfall
“Dunhinda” is one of the most spoken-about waterfalls in Sri Lanka. Although she couldn’t come even close to the highest waterfalls of the planet in height she rivals many of them when it comes to the natural beauty that it bestows on the environment. Situated about 2 km distance from the main road which runs to Taldena from the remote city Badulla in the Uva Province this is easily accessible and frequently visited by local and foreign visitors. On the way can be seen the “Kuda Dunhinda” ( “Kuda” means small in Sinhala ) which is the prologue to its mighty brother. In native tongue “Dun” means mist or vapor which is the ideal explanation for a waterfall creating wreaths of mist on its way down.
Bambarakanda Ella
Sri Lanka is blessed with over one hundred waterfalls. The tallest is the Bambarakande Falls which cascades down 263 meters like liquid light. It is only four miles away from the Colombo–Bandarawela road in a forest glade, but it is not visited often, though well worth the trip.
Bambarakanda is taller than the famous Diyaluma falls which is only 220 meters but thought to be the tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka. The Diyaluma or Diya Haluma collects its water from the Poonagala Oya in the vicinity of Koslanda and Wellawaya. Located six miles from Koslanda and 13 miles from Wellawaya, its waters originate from the Mahakande Pass in Koslanda. You can see this waterfall if you stop a while on your way to Haputale and detour.
Due to the geological formation of Sri Lanka, the central highlands are surrounded by peneplains, plateaus, and valleys. Rainfall sends a large volume of water hurtling down the precipitous edges of the highland mass.
The upthrust millions of years ago have caused several peneplains to form, the highest being well over 6000 ft. It is in this area that the water is collected when there are showers and flows down along tributaries down the mountain slopes.

Dogri dance from Jammu & Kashmir
A dance troupe from Jammu and Kashmir performs Dogri dance at the 8th International Arts Festival in Delhi.
Just like any other state of India, Dances are an integral part of any ceremony or festive occasion in Jammu and Kashmir. The Dogri dances are performed according to the significance of a particular occasion such as the at the advent of Spring season or harvest time or during wedding ceremonies. In Kashmir there isn't any tradition of mixed community dances by men and women, still dances are most common way to celebrate any occasional get together or festival in the valley.
