My daughter exploring (in slow mo) Cabugao Gamay Island in Carles, Iloilo. Cabugao Gamay is also known as the “selfie island” because tourists take their selfies on top of a rock formation at the end of the island. The most photographed and popular island in Carles, Iloilo. It is part of the Gigantes Group of Islands.

Cabugao is a small island locally known as Cabugao Gamay Island, gamay in Hiligaynon means small. It is uninhabited and is the widely photographed island in Gigantes. It features two white sand beaches that forms like a sandbar connecting two islets.

Cabugao Gamay Island
Cabugao Gamay is a small island located two kilometers off the coast of Isla de Gigantes Sur in Carles, Iloilo. Seen from afar, its peculiar shape and inherent beauty is sure to attract curiosity of most travelers. A large chunk of the island consists of a rock hill covered by thick vegetation. Its defining feature is a gorgeous white sandbar located at the northern tip of the island.

Isla de Gigantes | Secluded Beach Escape in the Philippines
Isla de Gigantes is located in the north-eastern part of Visayas at the tip of Iloilo in Panay Island, Philippines.
Due to it's remote location, it does not attract mainstream attention compared to similar islands like Boracay or Palawan.
However the island is just as beautiful with crystal clear waters and powdery white sand.
A visit to this chain of secluded islands is very much worth the effort.
