Great White Shark Attacks Kayaker in Monterey Bay, California
Gene Mace captured the moment a kayaker was attacked by a great white shark in Monterey Bay, California, on March 18.Gene Mace and his wife were out in Monterey Bay when he noticed a man had been flipped from his kayak. Mace took out his camera and saw that the man was under attack by a great white shark. Mace continues to capture the attack as he tells his wife to call for help. His wife can be heard speaking to authorities over the phone. The couple watches helplessly as the kayaker tries to swim away from the great white.
After a few minutes, a boat approaches the kayaker and a man, Lt. Cmdr. Kyle Franklin, can be seen trying to help the kayaker up to the small sailboat. Franklin was out sailing with his wife and daughter when he saw the kayaker frantically swimming away from the shark.
The video cuts off when Franklin approaches the kayaker, but a 29-foot Coast Guard Response Boat, stationed in Monterey Harbor, later arrived to rescue the kayaker, who was too tired and cold to get on the vessel on his own. Credit: Gene Mace Jr via Storyful

Estero Kayak Challenge Fishing Tournament 2018
Catching more than 30 fish during the Estero Kayak Challenge Fishing Tournament, I had a blast staying busy on the water and helping fundraise for nonprofit veterans' group Heroes On The Water. Check out what I caught and see the one that got away... at least for a moment before he returned to the water.

Montana de Oro
We were invited to a 4th of July camp and fish in the Montaña de Oro State Park by our good friend Louis Ciminieri. This was our 1st time rock fishing Central California and really did not know what to expect. But we caught fish from shore out to 1 mile. Many of the local kayak fisherman do not even use electronics to locate structure as the bottom is carpeted with it and the fish are everywhere. It seems they focus mostly on lure presentation while blind dropping wherever. Coming up from San Diego the rock fishing here is the best I have ever seen.
Same as down south, I caught my fish on the okuma KOMODE 350 size baitcaster loaded with 50 pound braid and 40 pound leader & Shadow Stalker 8’6 heavy action Rod My wife caught her surf perch on an Avenger spinning reel & 6’ Celios, ultra-light Rod.

Morro Bay , Cayucos , and Los Osos . At the end of scenic Highway One is Estero Bay. The area has become famous for its beautiful state parks, bird estuary's, and the distinct Morro Rock. Tourists and locals both enjoy a variety of activities in the area, including fishing, surfing, kayaking, golfing, bird watching, beachcombing, or just relaxing and enjoying the sunset. Besides the nature and recreation of Estero Bay, there are also fine restaurants, and unique shops.
Morro Bay , the largest of the three cities, is at the heart of Estero Bay. The waters that make up the bay are contained within a three-mile sandpit and the shores of Morro Bay and Los Osos. The local fishing industry is one of the most important along the California Coast.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
This timeline of United States government military operations is based on the Committee on International Relations (now known as the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs). Dates show the years in which U.S. government military units participated. Items in bold are the U.S. government wars most often considered to be major conflicts by historians and the general public. Note that instances where the U.S. government gave aid alone, with no military personnel involvement, are excluded, as are Central Intelligence Agency operations.
Calling All Cars: The Flaming Tick of Death / The Crimson Riddle / The Cockeyed Killer
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is the police department of the city of Los Angeles, California.
The LAPD has been copiously fictionalized in numerous movies, novels and television shows throughout its history. The department has also been associated with a number of controversies, mainly concerned with racial animosity, police brutality and police corruption.
The radio show Calling All Cars hired LAPD radio dispacher Jesse Rosenquist to be the voice of the dispatcher. Rosenquist was already famous because home radios could tune into early police radio frequencies. As the first police radio dispatcher presented to the public ear, his was the voice that actors went to when called upon for a radio dispatcher role.
The iconic television series Dragnet, with LAPD Detective Joe Friday as the primary character, was the first major media representation of the department. Real LAPD operations inspired Jack Webb to create the series and close cooperation with department officers let him make it as realistic as possible, including authentic police equipment and sound recording on-site at the police station.
Due to Dragnet's popularity, LAPD Chief Parker became, after J. Edgar Hoover, the most well known and respected law enforcement official in the nation. In the 1960s, when the LAPD under Chief Thomas Reddin expanded its community relations division and began efforts to reach out to the African-American community, Dragnet followed suit with more emphasis on internal affairs and community policing than solving crimes, the show's previous mainstay.
Several prominent representations of the LAPD and its officers in television and film include Adam-12, Blue Streak, Blue Thunder, Boomtown, The Closer, Colors, Crash, Columbo, Dark Blue, Die Hard, End of Watch, Heat, Hollywood Homicide, Hunter, Internal Affairs, Jackie Brown, L.A. Confidential, Lakeview Terrace, Law & Order: Los Angeles, Life, Numb3rs, The Shield, Southland, Speed, Street Kings, SWAT, Training Day and the Lethal Weapon, Rush Hour and Terminator film series. The LAPD is also featured in the video games Midnight Club II, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, L.A. Noire and Call of Juarez: The Cartel.
The LAPD has also been the subject of numerous novels. Elizabeth Linington used the department as her backdrop in three different series written under three different names, perhaps the most popular being those novel featuring Det. Lt. Luis Mendoza, who was introduced in the Edgar-nominated Case Pending. Joseph Wambaugh, the son of a Pittsburgh policeman, spent fourteen years in the department, using his background to write novels with authentic fictional depictions of life in the LAPD. Wambaugh also created the Emmy-winning TV anthology series Police Story. Wambaugh was also a major influence on James Ellroy, who wrote several novels about the Department set during the 1940s and 1950s, the most famous of which are probably The Black Dahlia, fictionalizing the LAPD's most famous cold case, and L.A. Confidential, which was made into a film of the same name. Both the novel and the film chronicled mass-murder and corruption inside and outside the force during the Parker era. Critic Roger Ebert indicates that the film's characters (from the 1950s) represent the choices ahead for the LAPD: assisting Hollywood limelight, aggressive policing with relaxed ethics, and a straight arrow approach.
What Are Those Yellow Spots On My Car? It's Bee Poop! - Chemical Guys Car Wash
What's behind yellow spots on autos? Yellow (mustard looking) dots all over the paint, windows, and glass? What are those damn yellow drops all over my car?
We sent some off to the lab and had it analyzed. The results are in...
It's bee poop!
These yellow spots contain digested flower nectar, traces of honey, and pollen. Honey bees, bumble bees, and carpenter bees all leave their waste behind as they fly around on their daily business. As busy bees buzz from one flower to another drinking delicious nectar, they have to poop... and they've got to poop somewhere! And just like birds in flight, bees poop wherever they please... which tends to be on shiny clean cars parked near their buzzing grounds.
You'll notice lots of these yellow spots on your car if you park by flowering plants, trees, forests, meadows, gardens, vineyards, or pastures. You may notice you have more of them during certain times of year (when bees are more active,) and fewer of them at other times of year (when bees are hibernating.)
It may not always be bee poop; sometimes airplane fuel or other airborne pollution lands on cars. But you'll notice these yellow spots on your car even when you're parked nowhere near an airport or the flight paths of any airplanes.
Cleaning bee droppings off your car is easy to do if you use the right methods. Bee poop is not as caustic or dangerous as bird droppings, but it can harm the paint if left for too long or wash incorrectly.
We cleaned this Tesla that was lousy with bee poop with Chemical Guys EcoSmart and a microfiber towel. The waterless car wash solution helps break down the stuck-on yellow dots, lubricate any abrasive pollen and dust particles, then pick it all up without installing any swirls or scratches. The blended-in natural carnauba wax formula helps protect and shine the car until the next wash, and helps repel future bee droppings from sticking to the paint.
The eco-friendly and bee-friendly formula cleaned off all the poop from the paintwork, plastic headlights, side window glass, and even the windshield without any swirls, scratches, streaks, smudges, or problems. And the best part about EcoSmart is it's convenience. Keep a bottle of EcoSmart and a microfiber towel in the trunk, and take down bee droppings and other incidents whenever they pop up: anywhere, any time.
Now you can keep your car clean without feeling the sting of dirty yellow spots all over the place! Yellow drops of bee poop have met their match with Chemical Guys EcoSmart!
