Downtown Kansas City is one of America's Best Downtowns. I came to Kansas City about two years ago and Downtown has never failed to amaze me.
I hope this video will give you a short tour of KC downtown. The Ride KC streetcar will take you from Union Station to River Market where you can buy flowers, fresh vegetables, baked foods, and other local wares from more than 140 stalls. It will also take you to the Power & Light District, also known as the Entertainment District. This video will show some of the never seen before abandoned nooks, lonely corners and many other places of downtown KC.

The Kansas City Power & Light District or Power & Light District or P&L is a dining, shopping, office and entertainment district in Downtown Kansas City, Missouri, United States, developed by The Cordish Companies of Baltimore, Maryland, and designed by Beyer Blinder Belle and 360 Architecture. The district comprises nine blocks on the south side of the downtown loop. It is located between Baltimore Avenue to the west, Grand Boulevard to the east, 12th Street to the north, and Interstate 670 to the south. Prior to my deployment in 2016 the fellas decided a going away party was in order. The closest thing to Omaha, NE that we could think of was the Power and Light District in Kansas City, MO. It was a quick two day trip but we tried some famous BBQ (not sure the name) and we got to check out downtown KC. This is the FIRST time I ever recorded a trip and put it into a timeline video so clearly it's not very polished, this was just the start of a hobby!

(May Update) REVERB - Curated Living in the Crossroads of Kansas City
Copaken Brooks, CP Real Estate Capital and Burns & McDonnell are partnering to design and build REVERB — a distinctive apartment building at 18th and Walnut in the Crossroads Arts District in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. When complete, it will sit 14-stories high with 132 units atop a two-story, above ground parking garage. Construction started January 2019 with completion anticipated in the summer of 2020.
At Reverb, tenants are given a space that they can truly make their own. The amenities can be found in the surrounding neighborhood, and the interior provides a blank canvas where occupants can implement their unique style, taste and collections.

One Light Luxury Apartments Coming Soon!
One Light is a state-of-the-art, luxury apartment building located in the heart of downtown Kansas City's Power & Light District, scheduled to open in November 2015. The first building of its kind in downtown Kansas City, One Light will rise 25 stories above the surrounding neighborhood of restaurants, shops, bars, cafés and entertainment venues. The glass and steel building will feature studio, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments, as well as penthouse units, with incredible views of the Kansas City skyline. Residents will enjoy floor-to-ceiling windows, stainless steel appliances, wood floors, quartz countertops, washer/dryers and free 5MB Google Fiber, among other state-of-the-art features. Building amenities will rival those of any luxury apartment building in the country, with a luxurious fourth floor demonstration kitchen and club room, an outdoor dog walking area with washing stations, bike and wine storage, a third floor theater room and wet bar, and an outdoor barbecue patio, among other amenities. Residents will have direct access to Cosentino's Market, One Life Fitness Center and The Jones rooftop pool, as well as a half block walk to the new street car line (scheduled to open in late 2015). Residents also receive a complimentary membership to the fitness center and complimentary in-room grocery delivery. Anyone interested in living in One Light should register online at onelightkc.com to secure a priority position on the waiting list. Leasing will officially begin in October 2014 with waiting list members given priority on units on a first-come, first-serve basis.
