Went to Lafayette Park to skate on April 7th. Too many dogs were around, so I ended up skating the tennis courts for the first time. Decided to film it (on my iPhone 4S). Fakie Big Flip was second try!

Lafayette Park Grand Reopening Ceremony
San Francisco residents devoted over $10 million of the 2008 Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond to improving Lafayette Park, one of Pacific Height's crown jewels. Our common goal is to ensure that future generations of San Franciscans will be able to enjoy the park's recreational offerings and appreciate its significance for years to come. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony kicked off on Saturday, June 8 with city, state officials, community groups, friends and families.

Another beautiful day in San Francisco brought us out to Lafayette Park. The park is located in the upper side of Pacific Heights neighborhood. Just 15 minutes from San Francisco's Japan Town and Fillmore Street, this is the perfect spot for your kids unwind and run free after some shopping or grubbing. Lafayette park is an ideal location for any type of outdoor activity or event you're planning. The park offers plenty of green space, tables, and trash bins for your use. The playground is baby, toddler, kid friendly, with enough amenities to keep them occupied.
Some of the many activities to do includes;
Birthday Parties
Picnics
Family BBQ
Bike Friendly Space (Great place to learn to bike)
Open Field Sports(Football, Baseball, Soccer, Volleyball, etc)
Scooter and Skateboarding
Flying Kites
The only downside would be the PARKING! Typical in San Francisco parking is PITA. Be prepared drive around 15-20 minutes looking for street parking.
Mason had a blast, and will definitely return to Lafayette Park soon.
