Matsuya Ginza_L'abeille (Honey)

Honey made in Japan is highly recommended as souvenirs. Especially honey harvested in Ginza is very popular among tourists. You may not believe it, but the bees are raised on top of buildings in the middle of Ginza, one of the biggest Japanese cities. Bees that live in Ginza take the honey from the flowers around the Imperial Palace. In spring, Sakura no Hachimitsu (Sakura honey) is also sold as a seasonally limited product. This was harvested from cherry blossoms in Mt Takao, which is a scenic sites for hiking. It would be also fun to sample various kind of honey at this boutique!

Matsuya Co.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Matsuya Co., Ltd. (株式会社松屋) TYO: 8237 is a Japanese department store in Tokyo. Founded in 1869, it has two stores in Ginza (est. 1925) and Asakusa (est. 1930).
Ginza
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ginza (銀座) is a district of Chūō, Tokyo, located south of Yaesu and Kyōbashi, west of Tsukiji, east of Yūrakuchō and Uchisaiwaichō, and north of Shinbashi.
It is known as an upscale area of Tokyo with numerous department stores, boutiques, restaurants and coffeehouses. Ginza is recognized as one of the most luxurious shopping districts in the world. Many upscale fashion clothing flagship stores are located here, being also recognized as having the highest concentration of western shops in Tokyo. Prominent are Chanel, Dior, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton.
Flagship electronic retail stores like the Sony showroom and the Apple Store are also here.
History
Ginza is named after the silver-coin mint established there in 1612 during the Edo period.
After the Tsukiji area burnt to the ground in 1872, the Meiji government designated the Ginza area as model of modernisation. The government planned the construction of fireproof brick buildings, and larger, better streets connecting the Shimbashi Station and the foreign concession in Tsukiji, as well as to important government buildings. Designs for the area were provided by the Irish-born architect Thomas Waters; the Bureau of Construction of the Ministry of Finance was in charge of construction. In the following year, a Western-style shopping promenade on the street from the Shinbashi bridge to the Kyōbashi bridge in the southwestern part of Chūō with two- and three-story Georgian brick buildings was completed.
Bricktown buildings were initially offered for sale, later they were leased, but the high rent meant that many remained unoccupied. Nevertheless, the area flourished as a symbol of civilisation and enlightenment, thanks to the presence of newspapers and magazine companies, who led the trends of the day. The area was also known for its window displays, an example of modern marketing techniques.
Most of these European-style buildings disappeared, but some older buildings still remain, most famously the Wakō building with the now-iconic Hattori Clock Tower. The building and clock tower were originally built by Kintarō Hattori, the founder of Seiko.
Its recent history has seen it as a promiment outpost of western luxury shops. Ginza is a popular destination on weekends, when the main north-south artery is closed to traffic. The traffic blockade began in the 1960s under governor Ryokichi Minobe.
Hosuien sells only teas harvested and processed in Japan. It uses no additives and its unique advanced method makes teas so amazing, and Imperial family and the foremost ancient Shinto temple have been using them. What is recommended here is Tea-Pen. The pen-shaped tea packaging is filled with highly nutritious powdered tea, and you can enjoy tea whenever you like. It is good to sprinkle on an ice cream, or mix it into a bottle of water so you can make tea instantly (it contains the powder for around 30 cups).
* The contents of the product may change depending on the season.

Matsuya Ginza_Ginza Capital (Coffee)
Capital Coffee sells 45 types of coffee beans from abroad. All coffee beans are roasted in Japan. This store imports a lot of quality Blue Mountain beans because it is very popular in Japan. The most expensive is Esmeralda from Panama. The price reaches 7,000 yen for 100 grams, but this unique citrus fruity taste is worth trying. If you think it’s too expensive, you can taste this coffee in the shop for 1,200 yen for 1 cup. The coffee shop also sells coffee equipment manufactured in the southern areas in Japan. The coffee equipment capable of making remarkably taste coffee is relatively reasonable price, so it is highly recommended as souvenirs.

Walking in Ginza, Tokyo - The Famous Shopping District - 4K, 60FPS
Oh Ginza... Once a place where upper-class Tokyoites of the older generation went for their weekend shopping. These days however, it feels more like a big tourist trap where entire shops seems to be designed only for visitors arriving in tour buses, looking to bring back as much tax-free goods as possible...
It's still one of the most visually interesting areas in Tokyo though, thanks to the long wide roads lit up by all the upscale brands trying to outdo each other.
In this video, shot on a weekend evening, I'm covering the entire main street (Chuo-Dori), famous for upscale shopping malls like Mitsukoshi, Matsuya and now also Ginza Six, before venturing off to some of the smaller side streets. It was shot just as the sky went from blue to black, so you can see the entire neighborhood slowly light up in this video.

Amazing Old 1925 Otis (Rb 1987 Mitsubishi) Tr. Elevator@Matsuya Ginza dep. store, Tokyo, Japan
This is one of two elevators at the Matsuya Ginza Department store in Ginza, Chuo Ward, Tokyo Metropolis, Japan, that still hasn't been modernized since 1987 (like 4 or 5 other ones modernized in 2015). This is really nice, and it has floor announcement also. The Matsuya Ginza department store was originally opened in 1925. I didn't film at the Mitsukoshi department store or Wako department store, because the elevators were rather boring and too new for my taste, but the Matsuya Ginza was really nice since it still offered two 1987 Mitsubishi elevators when filmed in December 2015! This is an express elevator going 11 floors (but B2 is locked-off), serving floors B1, 1, 8 and R for visitors of the department store. I noticed a small notice on one of the walls stating the year 1987, so this is how I determined the exact year of modernization.
Location: Matsuya Ginza Departemnt store, Chuo Ward, Tokyo Metropolis, Japan
Brand: Mitsubishi (OTIS Originally)
Type: Traction
Year installed/rebuilt: 1925 / 1987
Floors served: 11 (4 stops) - ((B2), B1, 1, *, *, *, *, *, *, 8, R)

Sembikiya is Japan's most famous top-class fruit shop and its products are often chosen as a gift for special occasions. It might surprise you if you hear it sells a melon for 14,000 yen per piece, but once you eat it, you'll never forget about the luscious melon. Also, it is very fun to compare the flavors of some fruits. Specifically, apples and oranges might be very interesting. Please enjoy those gem-like fruits cultivated with advanced Japanese technology at your hotel in Japan.
