MTSU, City of Murfreesboro unveil Adams Indoor Tennis Complex
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The City of Murfreesboro and MTSU officials unveiled Wednesday (July 15) the long-anticipated Adams Indoor Tennis Complex, an eight-court facility that greatly enhances the Blue Raider tennis program while also expanding playing and tournament opportunities for area residents.
The new $5.8 million complex covers a footprint of 70,000 square feet at 925 Golf Lane and represents the latest partnership between the City of Murfreesboro, MTSU and the nonprofit Christy-Houston Foundation.
Among the amenities:
Eight state-of-the-art courts and support facilities.
Two electronic scoreboards, locker rooms, lounge area and pro shop with tennis equipment and apparel.
Two floors with a mezzanine for spectator viewing that includes bleachers, TV lounge with tables and chairs.
An awning extending toward the outdoor tennis courts to provide shading for special events.
“This new complex is something the entire community can be proud of for years to come,” said Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department Director Lanny Goodwin. “This certainly fulfills the vision that the City and MTSU had when we embarked on a bold endeavor to build a permanent home for Blue Raider tennis and superb recreational opportunities for the Murfreesboro community.”
Since 2008, MTSU tennis teams have practiced and played at an indoor facility at Nashboro Village in Nashville, nearly 30 miles from the campus. The agreement with the city gives MTSU priority access to the complex from 1 to 4 p.m. from November until March, allowing Blue Raider tennis practices and matches to take place. During those months, the Murfreesboro community will have access during morning and evening hours.

Ep. 507 Dragon and Sabertooths in Nashville, Oh My! - Tennessee Valley Uncharted
Aerial gains some deeper insight into the city she’s living in. She kicks off her exploration of Nashville with the Dragon Boat Festival, where she not only learns about the festival’s history and the importance of the Cumberland River Compact, but she even gets to participate in the race! Next she spends some time with the Predators, attending both Petey’s Party and the Brent Peterson Golf Classic to get a better understanding of how the hockey team serves their community. Aerial then heads to Tims Ford with an Endangered Species Specialist in the hopes of seeing some boulder darters, a rare species of fish that’s still around thanks to TVA’s wildlife conservation and stream management. Last is a visit to the Ryman Auditorium, where she meets up with Ketch Secor – Old Crow Medicine Show’s lead man – and discovers what makes this auditorium so special. Though Nashville has been dubbed Music City, Aerial quickly realizes it has a lot more to offer than catchy tunes.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Nashville is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Tennessee. The city is the county seat of Davidson County and is located on the Cumberland River. The city's population ranks 24th in the U.S. According to 2017 estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau, the total consolidated city-county population stood at 691,243. The balance population, which excludes semi-independent municipalities within Davidson County, was 667,560 in 2017.Located in northern Middle Tennessee, Nashville is the major city of the largest metropolitan area in Tennessee. The 2017 population of the entire 14-county Nashville metropolitan area was 1,903,045. The 2017 population of the Nashville–Davidson–Murfreesboro–Columbia combined statistical area, a larger trade area, was 2,027,489.Named for Francis Nash, a general of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, the city was founded in 1779. The city grew quickly due to its strategic location as a port on the Cumberland River and, in the 19th century, a railroad center. Nashville seceded with Tennessee during the American Civil War; in 1862 it was the first state capital in the Confederacy to fall to Union troops. After the war, the city reclaimed its position and developed a manufacturing base.
Since 1963, Nashville has had a consolidated city-county government, which includes six smaller municipalities in a two-tier system. The city is governed by a mayor, a vice-mayor, and a 40-member metropolitan council; 35 of the members are elected from single-member districts, while the other five are elected at-large. Reflecting the city's position in state government, Nashville is home to the Tennessee Supreme Court's courthouse for Middle Tennessee, one of the three divisions.
Nashville is a center for the music, healthcare, publishing, private prison, banking, and transportation industries. It is home to numerous colleges and universities, such as Tennessee State University, Vanderbilt University, Belmont University, Fisk University, and Lipscomb University. Entities with headquarters in the city include Asurion, Bridgestone Americas, Captain D's, CoreCivic, Dollar General, Hospital Corporation of America, LifeWay Christian Resources, Logan's Roadhouse, and Ryman Hospitality Properties.
