This morning we woke up and decided to go down a hill inside a plastic ball! Although it's winter in New Zealand we had so much fun doing Ogo (formerly known as Zorb). Enjoy!

Unique and an absolute MUST DO when you are in New Zealand.
Down Hill Ball Rolling was made famous by the two brothers Andrew and Dwane Akers, who own OGO. THIS is the original space WITH the original creators of the sport, a very rare occasion for such a unique adrenaline sport.
The Space:
The Ogo space has an epic feel to it. As you wander down across the board walk you are met with music, changing rooms and hot pools, YUP HOT POOLS to get you psyched and ready for the roll down.
The Track:
There are 3 tracks for your Ogo-ing delights.
1. The straight
2. The side winder
3. And the Mega Track which has just been opened.
Each one has a different feel and element to it.
The straight is great for racing and I definitely do suggest you put someone up to the challenge.
The Sidewinder is NUTS and probably my favourite! You can take up to 3 bodies in this one and it feels completely distorted as you unexpectedly roll one way and then the other.
The Mega track is the ULTIMATE EXTREME. The biggest drop and the fastest roll.
Tip: Try and stand up in this one, if you dare! And then try and get up again, if you succeed in doing this, tell me how.
Quality:
Uniquely to OGO, all of the balls are hand made on sight as the company keeps a very natural, holistic touch to its product.

What a fantastic time in New Zealand. We were so lucky to have the opportunity to do this and Kelly gave me permission to fly the corse as an added bonus!!! Bruce and Marsha Gordon were great hosts and helped in this video. I wish Debbie would have been able to participate but with the broken arm we felt it best not to risk it. Frank Farray from Carolinadronz.com supplied the drone for the ariel footage.

I recently had the opportunity to experience one of the best things to do in Rotorua. OGO Rotorua is the number one location you want to give downhill ball rolling a crack!
The concept is you basically get put in a giant inflatable ball filled with water and they push you down one of their multiple tracks. One where you can race a friend and another where you can catch some 'Big Air'
The experience is something that is hard to be explained and even harder to portray how much fun it is!

First time Zorbing in Rotorua, New Zealand

We did the straight, Sidewinder and Mega track. It was plenty of fun and very unique. Prices were high but it was a one of a kind experience.
We didn't want to get wet and went with DryGO but we saw plenty of people showing up in swimsuits for their H2OGO.
