Joined two brothers (JheyC & John) to one of the largest flea markets in Tokyo. Located in Oi Kebajo, Shinagawa, this flea market is held almost every week. It's a 1min walk from Oi Kebajo station on the Tokyo Monorail.

Tokyo Oi Racecourse Dazzles with Illumination | JAPAN Forward
Full Story:
In Tokyo’s Shinagawa ward, the Oi Racecourse is hosting the “Tokyo Mega Illumination” lights festival, and it is already the talk of the town.
Eight million LED lights are spread over a space of 300 000 square meters, reproducing Japan from the Edo period to the present day.
Looking around, you can see couples and families admiring the impressive glittering lights.
Just after exiting the underground corridor, “Japan’s Original Landscape” spreads before you. This is made up of colorful rice fields and rural scenery, beautifully representing the changing of the seasons. Onlookers happily snap away at the lights depicting the lovely landscape.
“It’s beautiful, it really conveys a nostalgic feeling” said a 62-year-old man from Yokohama who tagged along with his wife.
“I feel suddenly very light and relieved!” he explained, smiling.
Makoto Sugisaki, 47-years-old, who came with his wife and six-year-old daughter, also enjoyed the event, saying, “It’s very spacious and pleasant, so it was fun to come with all the family.”
The last day of the 2018 installation will be on December 28. After a break in order to change one section, the illuminations can be enjoyed by visitors from January 12 all the way through March. Opening hours are from 5 P.M. to 10 P.M. on weekends and public holidays, and 6 P.M. to 10 P.M. on weekdays.
Even if horse racing isn’t your thing, you might just have found a reason to head to Oi Racecourse. Insta-opportunity, anyone?

Pasar Barang Bekas Shinagawa Jepang. Bagi orang yang tinggal di sekitaran Tokyo tentunya tidak asing dengan Shinagawa. Yaa Shinagawa merupakan daerah yang cukup ramai dan padat seperti daerah daerah lainnya di sekitaran Tokyo. Dan kali ini saya akan membahas tentang sisi lain dari Shinagawa yaitu Pasar Barang Bekas. Pasar Barang Bekas yang ramai sekali dengan pedagang pedagang yang menjajakan barang barang bekas layak pakai dengan harga yang sangat miring. Barang yang dijajakan juga bervariasi mulai dari baju, celana, jaket, sepatu, elektronik, jam dan barang barang bekas lain nya serta makanan juga banyak di jajakan tapi untuk makanan bukan bekas yaa, hehehe.
Bagi para Kenshusei atau pun Jisshusei yang bekerja di Jepang terutama yang di sekitaran Tokyo mungkin sebagian sudah mengetahui ada nya pasar barang bekas ini. Namun tidak sedikit juga yang belum mengetahui nya. Maka dari itu saya tulis artikel kali ini agar orang orang Indonesia yang tinggal di sekitaran Tokyo bisa suatu saat mampir kesini baik untuk berbelanja atau pun hanya melihat lihat saja. Karena suasana disini sangat mirip dengan pasar pasar barang bekas di Indonesia. Saya pun heran karena di negara maju seperti Jepang ini ternyata ada juga pasar seperti ini

This was an awesome hot sunny day at the Kamakura flea market. I have a 1000 yen budget but only spent 600 yen for 9 items. I was expecting to buy a lot but wasn't able to because Michio was hyper that day. I wasn't able to stay on one spot for a long time because Michio was all over the place. Ha Ha
Anyways, we came home happy for what we bought especially Michio.

Whilst they were there Charlotte visited the massive Oi Racecourse flea market in Japan with some friends, watch her masterfully pick up games for next to nothing because everyone at a flea market in Japan just wants to get rid of their stuff!!!
Please note she's never used these glasses before, hence the reason that everything she picks up is a little below her vision...

► After Baseball and Football, Horseracing is the third biggest thing in Japan with more than 21.000 horseraces held each year all over Japan.
A lot of people enjoys spending an entire day (and evening) at the racetrack, betting, eating and drinking, perhaps even taking a nap in between the numerous races.
Toko City Keiba (TCK) is located in Oimachi, Shinagawa, and TCK provides free shuttlebuses from Oimachi Station. There's a fun and exciting atmosphere, admission fee is just 100Yen, as JRA (Japan Racing Association) makes most of their profit from bets.
Give it at try next time in Tokyo, it's fuuuuun. - Enjoy!
