The Olomana Trail: 3 Peaks Climb - Oahu, Hawaii

There's no time to sit around, do nothing and relax when there are mind blowing adventures to be had. Perfect example: Exploring the island of Oahu, Hawaii. This mountainous island wonderland has non-stop hikes at every corner. Waterfalls, wild pigs, deep gooey mud, stunning vistas and some extreme humidity made for an excellent hike on the famous Olomana Trail.
It's not for everyone, but we we couldn't get enough of the sketchy, slippery ascent.
(Someone really should replace some of those ropes though...)

MOUNT OLOMANA 3 PEAKS HIKE HAWAII
WATCH IN 1080p! Crazy day hiking 3 peaks with the bros. Started at 4 PM and didn't get done until 11 PM...hiked all 3 peaks and had to hike back in the dark and rain. Had to do a bunch of rock climbing, scrambling, and rope climbing, and when we got to the third peak it was pitcccch black. Extremely dangerous, very slippery and muddy...entire hike took us 7 hours due to the dark and rain coming back. Couldn't get any of the cool rope sections on the 3rd peak because it was too dark. Definitely recommend starting in the morning!!

Hiker who fell to his death at Olomana Trail identified
The Honolulu medical examiner has identified the hiker who fell to his death at Olomana Trail on Sunday as Nathan Stowell, 24.

Hiking in Oahu - Epic Drone Views
Oahu is the most populated island in Hawaii. With lots of activities around Honolulu, it is best to get away from the big city and hit the trails. Oahu has epic mountains that tend to always have sea views from the top (or during the entire hike). Most of the hikes in Oahu, however, are not for those with a faint heart. Some of these should be illegal. Some of them are.

Olomana Trail (Highlights) 08.31.13
Went on a hike with O'ahu Hikers & Adventurers and All Things O'ahu to Olomana trail. It was my first time, let's say it was awesome. The best view is from the first peak, and the 360 degree view is well worth the strenuous climb to the top. The view is breathtaking and very beautiful. If you decide to go to the 3rd peak, trust yourself and remember to take your time.
One word of caution; be careful in your use of the ropes. Some of them are getting a bit frayed so be careful in putting all your full weight on them. Going down the 2nd peak and up the 3rd peak is when the adrenaline comes into play and your heart starts pump-in. Talking about steep cliffs on both sides and loose gravel. One slip the chances are pretty slim, but once you reach the top of the 3rd peak it feels so damn good. Rewarding and a great accomplishment. Enjoy, be safe and venture on...

3 Peaks Hike
Hiking the Olomana trail (3 Peaks) was a blast! A group of us got together Saturday morning and hiked all 3 Peaks. The longest hike is to the first one, after that it's two short but difficult climbs up and down the last two. The view is well worth the effort, especially when a helicopter fly's by and its below you!
