Christmas Eve surf at the Pismo Beach Pier (2018)
A very quick edit of the surf Christmas Eve morning while on break. I spent about an hour filming on and around the Pismo Beach Pier. The winner of the Women's division at the Pismo Beach Open 2018 was back in Pismo surfing. Kirra Pinkerton in the white wetsuit drives right, toward the pier pilings, and flings her board over the end of the close-out wave.

Fishing Pismo Beach CA in November! Perch in the Surf!
In November I like to head out to Pismo Beach to fish the surf. The pier is open but the very end is fenced off so I couldn't try there. It's okay because the surf perch were out and providing the fun.

Seeing these guys out there since before 6 am with temps outside around 45 degrees, I'm thinking they're crazy! But took a walk down the pier and watching them wait, watching the swells and then... the excitement of the perfect ride...I can understand their addiction.
