Shinzen Japanese Garden in Fresno, California
The Shinzen Friendship Garden is a Japanese Garden located in Woodward Park in Fresno, California. It is a beautiful place to visit while in Fresno. It features a koi pond, waterfalls, a bridge, nicely sculpted plants, and a section just devoted to bonzai trees. It costs $7 to park in Woodward Park, and $7 for a family of 2-5 to enter the Japanese garden.

Garden of the Week - Jody Palmer - Fresno
Jody Palmer Landscape Design specializes in creating natural, water-wise gardens in the Mediterranean climate of the California Central Valley. This garden is seven years old on 1/2 acre. Two existing trees on the site and neighbors' borrowed landscape gave it a mature feeling within a year of installation. Gravel paths invite one to walk through drifts of old roses and grasses, with unusual plants added for elements of surprise and seasonal interest. Netafim drip irrigation laid on a grid in all the planting beds allows for moving or adding plants with ease.
