(Part 2) My Trip To Tokyo - Location, 24hr Supermarket & PHOTOS (March 2012)
My Trip To Tokyo (Part 2). The location on the map of Citadines Shinjuku Hotel which is nearby a train station and also a 24hr Supermarket. When we found the 24hr Supermarket near our hotel.. we were SOoooo HapppY!!.. we can buy the food any time we want and then cook at our hotel. We always go back to our hotel So Late! and all the shops are close except for the 7-evelen next door.
Oh yeah.. by the way.. for those thinking of shopping in Tokyo, most of the shops closes around 9pm or even earlier. Some close later but majority of the shops closes by 9pm. That is why we were soo happy to find this 24hr Supermarket.. :-)
They have eggs, vegetables, fruits, milk, fish.. oh wow.. we eat quite a number of fish.. we also make our own make-shift sushi..the wasabi was truly hot and out-of this world.. really luv it hot.. :-). The rest of the video are photo compilation of our trip to Japan. Visiting Tokyo Disneyland, Mount Fuji, ODAIBA, Fuchu No Mori Park and Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden which is just a walking distance behind our hotel.. :-) The garden was sooo big and sooo beautiful. We manage to see the first bloom of the Sakura flowers.. it was beautiful.. pity we did not stay long to see the full bloom of the flowers in the park.
Fuchu No Mori Park was the film location for the Japanese drama series GOKUSEN (1st season). We went there just to see how the place look like.. Overall, our trip to Japan was fantastic.. the people was friendly, helpful and the scenery was beautiful. Plan to go there again soon.. maybe next year and try to catch the full bloom of the Sakura flowers.. in spring.. :-)

Toriki Tokyo Dining with the Yakitori Master & Chicken King
Winner winner chicken dinner! I have been to this Yakitori restaurant a few times, but this was Jesse's first. In a town full of masters this guy is in my humble opinion only of the best, at least when it comes to grilled chicken. I really can't say enough good things about this place.
No charcoal here, just the purity of the chicken flavor, and the love of course. Every time I have had the privilege of eating here I have left completely satisfied and very genki. Besides the general excellence of this place the chef is a real beaut, obviously he loves what he does and we love what he does and all the patrons that cram into this tiny chicken shop every night love what he does.
He even serves Chicken Sashimi, but really everything is top shelf chicken. A very hard to get to Tokyo Gem. Highly recommended for Premium Yakitori in the Metropolis. Toriki for the Win!
Sushi Making at Wabora
I love sushi and I mean LOVE. So when I got a call from my friends at Buytopia (Buytopia.ca) asking me if I wanted to join a group of bloggers to check out a recent deal they offered that involved making sushi at Wabora, I obviously said yes -- even though this meant missing the first TO's Hottest Chef event at the Drake Hotel (Adam was pretty happy to go instead...). On arrival I was greeted by some lovely ladies including Val of ImCharmingYou.com, Bianca of Toronto Standard, Jamie Leigh from JamieLeighTO.com, Liza from SheDoestheCity.com and of course Michele, the lovely co-founder of Buytopia.ca. Along with the ladies was some wine - always a good way to start off the night.
