Switzerland Mountain Biking - Zermatt Rocks!
This clip is highlights of one of the best days of riding I have ever had, exploring the trails around Zermatt in Switzerland with Toni and Julia from Zermatt Bike School. I had so much good footage from just one morning that it was quite hard to cut it all down into a short clip. We did 3 runs, 2 from the Sunnegga train and the other from the gondola to Schwarzsee. The bike was a Cube Stereo 160 hired from Slalom Sport in the village. What a beautiful place - I will never forget those views of the Matterhorn! Shot on my GoPro Hero 3 and 4 Black Editions.

Sunnegga to Zermatt - Epic Swiss Mountain Biking Descent
I AM REUPLOADING THIS TO SOLVE THE AUDIO ISSUES ON THE FIRST ONE.
This was my first run on my first day of mountain biking in Zermatt, Switzerland. Toni and Julia, my guides from Bike School Zermatt took me up the Sunnegga Paradise funicular railway and then we cruised downhill all the way back to the village. This was a big change from riding in the Perth hills where 5 minutes is as long a descent as you will ever see! The trail is also steeper than it looks in the video - you can hear my brakes squealing in some points - despite the big rotors, they got really hot pulling me up. These tracks are largely hiking trails, but mountain bikes are allowed (the no entry to bikes sign on one trail is not an official sign - it was apparently set up by a grumpy restaurateur...). Toni had a cowbell on her bars to warn hikers of our approach - although you will see that halfway down we did give a couple a bit of a fright! This place is amazing and the views of the Matterhorn are simply breathtaking. The bike was a Cube Stereo 160mm hired from Slalom Sport and I filmed on my Hero 4 Black (chesty mounted) and Hero 3 Black (seatpost mounted).
Alpine Training in Zermatt - Behind the Scenes - Mens
The Swiss town of Zermatt might be best known to turists for the spectacular views of the Matterhorn it offers, but in the world of skiracing, it's one of the best summer skiing destinations one could imagine.
This August our Behind the Scenes crew spent some time following the Canadian men's speed team as they prepared for the new season both on the perfectly hard glacier snow and in the multiple sports facilities the town offers.
The FIS Alpine Ski World Cup is the top international circuit of Alpine Skiing competitions staged annually. It is considered the premier competition in alpine ski racing together with the quadrennial Olympic Winter Games and the biennial FIS Alpine World Ski Championships. Some experts event consider winning the World Cup to be athletically a more valuable title than winning gold at the Olympic Winter Games or the World Championships, since it requires a competitor to ski at an extremely high level in several events throughout the season, and not just in one race. Today, the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup races are held primarily at famous ski resorts in the European Alps, along with regular stops in Scandinavia, North America, and Far East Asia. Competitors attempt to score a maximum of points during the season in five events: slalom, giant slalom, super-G, downhill and super combined. The fifth event, super-combined, was introduced in 2005 and generally consists of a shorter downhill race and a one-run slalom. Sometimes the downhill is replaced by a super-G.
