A few weeks ago we went to Tweetsie Railroad. During a hike to the top we stopped at a picnic table to take a break and I setup my camera to capture the hordes of people riding the rides at the Country Fair section of Tweetsie Railroad. You can see the chairlifts as well and everyone hurrying around. I have footage of people boarding the train and also from the train ride that I have to edit and upload.. so if you like Tweetsie's.. make sure to subscribe..

If you have children or grandchildren, they are sure to enjoy our one-of-a-kind Deer Creek Park, featuring two Swiss Family Robinson style tree houses one with a sixty-foot swinging bridge.
Here at Deer Creek Park we have picnic areas and well-maintained trails. If you want to take the kids on an overnight campout, you dont even have to leave the property. Within Deer Creek Park we have several campsites available.
As you can see Ive gone to great lengths to provide far more than just great views, but a community you can explore and enjoy for years to come.
This is our new mountaintop clubhouse. You can envision yourself with family and friends up here gathering by the fire, or taking in the million dollar view from the decks.
Downstairs in the clubhouse, youll find a top of the line fitness center to help you keep in shape. Theres also a game room for the kids featuring foosball, ping-pong and a pool table. We have many available options. Such as these Woodlake Cottages featuring 2 and 3 bedrooms from the low $300s, or we have custom homes from the $800s or luxurious condominium villas starting in the uppers $200s.
One of our most exciting and newest offerings are the Springhouse Villas. Within the Springhouse Villas youll find the highest quality as any in the area. All of this just 12 minutes from the gates. I like to say we have The illusion of seclusion. That is, were close enough to town so that you can easily get anything you need, but just far enough out so that our viewshed is of the pristine Pisgah and Cherokee National Forests.

Frank Harmon. CAPLA Cultures of Place Lecture Series 2018-19
The second in the Cultures of Place lecture series presented by the University of Arizona's School of Architecture, Frank Harmon, of Frank Harmon Architect presents, Drawing as a Way to See.
The 2018-2019 School of Architecture Lecture Series will train attention on the ways we define “place”. Experience of place springs simultaneously from sensual perception of the environment and our ecological habitat and from the cultural constructions of our social milieu, including cultures of building and making. “Place” may occur for us in nature, in the city, or in our professional lives. Join us for a thorough examination of the places each of us inhabits, the cultures that condition and interpret them, and the role architecture can play as a lens onto our world and a portal to the future.

History on the Line: Preserving County Courthouses
Historic county courthouses stand as iconic symbols of Arkansas's development as a state, elegant testaments to justice and important sentries to the history of the state. History on the Line: Preserving County Courthouses introduces unsung preservationists and architects who travel the state finding ways to rehabilitate a building or, at the very least, fix a leaky roof to save the precious records inside. Also featured are county judges who deal with the financial burden of the historic buildings' maintenance needs. The film visits the pristine, stately and recently restored Desha County courthouse in Arkansas City, shares stories from the record room in Madison County, and follows Mississippi County's political and legal struggle over the viability of maintaining their split judicial district and their two historic county courthouses. The documentary follows their struggles while telling stories of preservation and the importance of the historic county courthouses of Arkansas.

The Ancient City of Tyre
This symposium explores on the ancient city of Tyre, founded in 2750 B.C. by the Phoenicians, who created an alphabet and the first democracy in the world with a parliament and senate elected directly by the citizens. Tyre is the legendary birthplace of Europa, the daughter of the King of Tyre, the namesake of Europe. The city and the civilization was left in ruins by Alexander the Great who went to war against the Tyreans.
