Top 10 Reasons NOT to Move to Kansas City, Missouri
The Top 10 reasons You Should NOT move to Kansas City, Missouri and the worst things you NEED to know about moving to Wichita, Kansas instead.
Worst places to live in Oklahoma City -
What's it like living in Kansas City? Well first off, there's a KC Kansas as well and it's hot and humid in the Summer, just like most of the mid-west. It's actually the largest city in Missouri, although the St Louis metropolitan area is actually slightly bigger. It's also, along with Omaha, Wichita, and other great plains suburbs, one of the cheapest and best cities to live in America. While it isn't the fastest growing city, a lot of people are moving to KCMO, and there is a cheap cost of living, so why shouldn't you live in Kansas City, MO.
Thanks for watching From Here to There! This is one of my top ten videos where we explain things about the world, it's history, and geography, starting with the different states, cities, and towns in the United States. Find out the worst and best places to live in 2019!

The Most HIDDEN Underground Cities
Have you ever imagined a life without the sun? How could we possibly survive? Today we'll show you how with the most impressive underground cities!
1. GROWING UNDERGROUND, LONDON:
In this city located in an old war bunker in London, they managed to sustain a whole farm. This seems almost impossible, however they did it by using a hydroponic, vertical, pesticide-free system. Also, they use the space much more efficiently, saving 70% of the water used on it.
2. EARTHSCRAPER, MEXICO CITY:
As you had already imagined, this is the complete opposite building to a skyscrapers, as it goes down towards the Earth core. 65 stories to be precise. It has a pyramid-shaped design and an open central space where daylight can flood in to the depths of the earth.
3. THE LOWLINE, NEW YORK:
The Lowline is a project based on the success of the Highline, an abandoned elevated railway converted into a lush public space. The aim is to give an unused trolley terminal a makeover. It's expected to be opened by 2020. The natural light would be directed below ground using a system called remote skylights based on parabolic reflectors and optic fiber cables.
4. RÉSO, MONTREAL:
This is the largest subterranean complex in the world and has been in use since the 1960s. It's a way of hiding from the terrible cold temperatures they suffer. We can find multi-level shopping centers, hotels, restaurants and metro stations. All linked by tunnels.
5. UNDERGROUND CITY, HELSINKI:
This underground city includes more than 125 miles of tunnels filled with everything you would expect in an overground city, and the best thing is that they have plans to continue to expand the subterranean public spaces.
6. SUBTROPOLIS, KANSAS CITY:
This city occupies 1,100 acres of abandoned limestone mines since 1964. More than 1,600 people work in this naturally climate-controlled, rock-carved space every day. We can find subTropolis houses and everything from cave-aged cheese to car storage space, and an array of small businesses. Also it naturally maintains temperatures between 18 and 21 °C all year-round.
7. UNDERGROUND SCIENCE CITY, SINGAPORE:
In Singapore they've had a space problem for a long time. So they designed this Underground Science City for up to 4,200 scientists, researchers, and professionals in Research and Development facilities. But also, there are many restaurants and shopping malls.
9) Burlington, U.K.
This is a city built by the British Government in 1955 in case of a nuclear attack. A 35-acre network of hidden entrances, streets, canteens, and purpose-built rooms to house the Prime Minister, the entire British government and the Royal Family. It even had a telephone switchboard and a hospital inside. However it's been closed off since 1991.
10) Derinkuyu, Turkey
This is an ancient multi-level underground city extending to a depth of approximately 60 metres. It is large enough to have sheltered as many as 20,000 people together with their livestock and food stores. This city could be closed from the inside with huge stone doors and had ventilation and running water.
Are you ready to live underground?

Proof of Q Anon: July 24, 2018. President Trump in Kansas City, Missouri @ VFW Convention
Just another proof of QAnon. Proof of Q means; President Trump confirming his relationship with Q.
The general consensus is that Q is a team of military intelligence, quite possibly also NSA and other high ranking United States Military who are working hand in hand with President Trump to bring down the deep state worldwide.
The mainstream operation mockingbird media is currently actively in operations to discredit Q, yet they refuse to come out on camera/record and ask POTUS directly. Why? Think logically.

Kansas City and How It Grew, 1822-2011
by James R. Shortridge
In 2005, I watched the British band Keane at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City. After they finished playing a song, the lead singer, Tom Chaplin, said it was the band’s first time in Kansas. Many members of the crowd immediately booed him for saying that. Why?
Kansas City is in Missouri.
But at least Chaplin had a good excuse, as most people who are not American don’t know that. They may not even know that Kansas and Missouri exist, although a lot of people seem to know Kansas due to The Wizard of Oz.
Before you get all mad at stuff. I know there’s more than Kansas City, Missouri.
Across the street there’s a Kansas City, Kansas, too!
Most of my wife’s family is from that Kansas City, the one in, you know, Kansas. But Kansas City, Kansas, or KCK is often overshadowed by Kansas City, Missouri, or KCMO due to the fact that it’s more than three times larger and has the majority of attractions that “Kansas City” is known for. Sure, KCK has the Kansas Speedway and Sporting KC, but KCMO has the Power and Light District, the Sprint Center, the World War 1 Museum, Westport, the Country Club Plaza, the Royals and the Chiefs, and Bryan Busby.
So there are two Kansas Cities, but why is the Kansas City most people think of the one that’s in Missouri? Well strangely, Kansas City, Missouri existed first. First known as The City of Kansas, it was incorporated on February 22, 1853. Its residents named it after the Kansa, a Native American tribe that the residents of Kansas also named their state after later on. Keep in mind that Kansas didn’t exist yet in 1853. The next year, it became a territory and it didn’t become a state until 1861.
It wasn’t until October 1872 that a few smaller towns all together to officially form Kansas City, Kansas. Of course, this was after Kansas City, Missouri’s population had skyrocketed. Before the Civil War, KCMO had less than 5,000 people. A decade later, it was approaching 35,000. The folks in KCK wanted to piggyback on the success of KCMO and essentially confuse visitors into thinking THEY were the real Kansas City. I should mention that before this, Kansas politicians made several attempts to annex KCMO and the surrounding area into Kansas. The Kansas City Times editorial board wrote, “Kansas City, Mo, is the legitimate outgrowth of the state of Kansas. In everything but a line on the map she is essentially a city of Kansas.” Unfortunately for Kansas, Missourians didn’t want to lose KCMO because you know, KCMO is awesome, so they fought back.
Since then, the two cities and their suburbs have thrived in their own ways, but KCMO often dominates the headlines. Freaking KCMO.
Anyway, how about this street behind me? It divides not just part of KCK and KCMO, but Kansas and Missouri further south. It’s called State Line Road, and it’s one of the most unique borders in the world. A street that divides two states presents unique challenges. Taxes are lower on this side than that side (that’s why you typically see more businesses on this side). At one time, the drinking age was 18 on that side of the street but 21 on this side. That led to a lot of 18 year olds crossing this street from here to there and later stumbling back, at least I presume. But how and why did State Line Road come to be?
The earliest mention of State Line Road comes from an 1872 directory. Back then, it was just a few blocks long. Just like today, people went back and forth across the border like it was nothing. Back then, this was where the cows were. In fact, cows could often be in both states at the same time. The stockyards straddled the border so that people could more easily conduct business on both sides of the state line, sometimes within the same building.
Soon though, it became apparent that a road separating the stockyards made it easier to move about to conduct such business. As the cities and their suburbs grew to the south, so did State Line Road. Today, it stretches nearly 14 miles.

Why the Sun Belt Keeps Growing
Americans are moving to the Sun Belt in huge numbers. In this video, Mr. Beat explains the many reasons why so many have been moving to the Sun Belt since right after World War II.

Americans are moving South. In huge numbers. Between July 2015 and July 2016, Harris County in Texas, where Houston is located, grew an average of 155 people per day. Maricopa County in Arizona, where Phoenix is located, grew an average of 223 people per day during that same time period. 11 of the 15 fastest growing major cities in the United States are in the region known as the Sun Belt.
The Sun Belt generally stretches across the entire Southern portion of the United States, including the states of Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and California. It’s definitely an arbitrary definition. Some geographers label the Sun Belt any part of the United States south of the 36th parallel. With that definition, you would add the states of Oklahoma, Tennessee, and North Carolina to the region, and the map would look like this.
The Sun Belt is currently known for it’s mild winters, the tourism associated with those mild winters, growing economic opportunities, and its, uh, SUN. As in it’s always sunny. It’s not always sunny in Philadelphia. It’s always sunny in Phoenix.
Political analyst Kevin Phillips first popularized the term “Sun Belt” in 1969 in his book The Emerging Republican Majority, and the term continues to stick around. However, as I said before, Americans had been flocking to the South since right after World War II.
But why, Mr. Beat. WHY?
First, let’s just get the obvious reason out the way. Many Americans, especially retiring Americans, just wanted to settle down in a warmer climate. Winters in the Midwest and Northeast can be brutal. So why did they wait until after World War II? Well, this was around the time home air conditioning units became affordable. Sure, winters in the South can be heaven, but the summers can also be relentless, but after air conditioners became widespread, it was much easier to deal with those 115 degree afternoons in Arizona.
So retirees were flocking down there, but what about those looking for work? After World War II, there seemed to be plenty of jobs waiting for Americans down in the South. The federal government spent most of its Cold War money on the defense and aerospace industries of the South, where everything was cheaper compared to the North. Workers could even be paid less, in part due to there being less labor unions in the South. The Sun Belt also received much more money than the north from the federal government in terms of military and aerospace spending. Oil boomed in Texas. Tourism obviously boomed pretty much everywhere in the Sun Belt. The creation of the interstate highway system in the 1950s opened up once isolated southern regions to the rest of the country. Southern governments offered incentives for businesses to move there.
Part of the region’s economic growth came from introducing new farming technologies in arid areas.
Speaking of arid, yeah, much of the Sun Belt is pretty dry. Irrigation from redirecting water can only last for so long, so this remains a serious challenge in the future for the American Southwest in particular.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, the cost of living was much cheaper in many areas of the Sun Belt.
By the 1970s, the Sun Belt was growing at a high rate. And while there have been the occasional, temporary setbacks ever since, this trend has not slowed down. Today, the Sun Belt states are where most of the growth occurs.
