Nightcaps is a town in the Southland region of New Zealand's South Island. According to the 2013 New Zealand census, its population is 294, consisting of 165 males and 132 females. This represents a decline of 15 people since the 2006 census. State Highway 96 passes through Nightcaps as it runs between Ohai and Winton. The town has a golf course and two primary schools that cater to students from Nightcaps, the surrounding rural area, and since the 2003 closure of its own school, Ohai.It has a community website, designed to give information to all new and existing members of the surrounding community. 2. Hump Ridge Track Tuatapere
The Hump Ridge Track is located in the south east of Fiordland National Park, in the South Island of New Zealand. The track is about 61 km in distance and is based in Waitutu Forest . About 1800 walkers complete the track each year. The closest town is Tuatapere, although people often stay in Te Anau and opt to drive south the morning of beginning the track. The track was established in November 2001, with the initial cost for the project at $3,950,000 NZD. The track crosses Māori land and much privately owned land. The Tuatapere Hump Track Trust owns two lodges and over 20 km of board walk, although the Department of Conservation maintains the track along the coast and the Port Craig School Hut.

Trans-Siberian train trip - 10 000 kilometers from Moscow to Beijing

Trans-Siperia on tunnustettu maailman pisimmäksi yksittäiseksi junaradaksi. Trans-Siperian päärata ulottuu 9288 kilometrin matkan Moskovasta Vladivostokiin ja junamatka kestää kokonaisuudessaan 6,5 vuorokautta. Trans-Siperia päärata haarautuu Ulan Uden kaupungissa, josta on mahdollista jatkaa Trans-Mongolian rataosuutta pitkin Mongolian halki aina Pekingiin saakka.

Rata on valmistunut 60 000 rakennusmiehen urakalla vuosina 1891–1916 ja sen rakentaminen on maksanut miltei miljardi jenkki taalaa.

Pääsimme vihdoin toteuttamaan tämän pitkäaikaisen haaveemme Trans-Siperialla matkustamisesta syyskuussa 2015, kun aloitimme elämämme pisimmän reissun, IKILOMAN, tällä maailmankuululla junamatkalla. Päädyimme valitsemaan Trans-Mongolia rataosuuden, koska halusimme nähdä Mongolian autiot arot ja Kiinan hektisen elämänrytmin.
