Uncovering East Lothian - Traprain Law | Dig It! TV
Have you ever climbed to the top of an ancient hill fort? Let Dig It! TV do the leg work as you join Saga and the team at the top of Traprain Law in East Lothian. This late Iron Age site was once the capital of the Votadini, the Celtic tribe who governed a vast territory spanning what is now south-east Scotland and north-east England. This hidden gem has offered up many surprises over the years, including a remarkable hoard of Roman silver, and today is home to a family of wild horses!

SCOTLAND'S SECRET BUNKER - Hidden beneath a farm house
- Nuclear bunker desguised as a farmhouse in the Scottish country side. Now decommissioned. While most of us would be running around like headless chickens on the surface, they would be sealed up safe below, I wonder if they'd trully be happy that they survived the blast or not! Great place, would recommend any one go see it!
Hill Walks in Pictures...John Muir Way, part 10... Cramond to Musselburgh
Here we describe the route the JMW takes as it crosses the city of Edinburgh. The designers of the Way have cleverly managed to maintain a countryside feel to this section, despite being in the middle of Scotland's capital city. Thus although there are some busy roads to cross, and some houses to pass, most of the route follows far more scenic features
. We visit Corstorphine Hill, the Water of Leith walkway, various parks, an aqueduct at the Union Canal, Holyrood Park, an ex railway, now a cycleway, more parks, river side paths to get back to the coast at Fisherrow Harbour in Musselburgh.
Of course, this route omits a visit to the historic city centre, but a tempting detour across Holyrood Park via the great little hill of Arthur's Seat will remedy that....this will be described in the next
video.
