The sandy-pebble beach stretches a long distance, running the full length of the village Faros and it is an ideal place to stay for a few days with a variety of rooms, studios and apartments for rent on and behind the beach.

GREECE: BOAT RIDE with 85-year old captain, Island of IKARIA (BEAUTIFUL VIEWS)
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go to the beautiful Greek island of Ikaria in the Aegean Sea and let's experience a thrilling boat ride with an 85-year old captain. During the summer months a water taxi connects Agios Kirikos (the capital of Ikaria) with Therma (known for its thermal springs) at regular intervals. The boat used is a traditional wooden Venzina and the short trip makes for an interesting and inexpensive excursion along the coast with beautiful views.

Καρκινάγρι Ικαρίας | Ikaria Karginagri
Το Καρκινάγρι βρίσκεται στο νοτιοδυτικό άκρο της νήσου Ικαρίας. Ανήκει στο Δήμο Ραχών Ικαρίας και στα χωριά του Ακρωτηρίου Πάππας. Η επίσκεψη σ' αυτό το χωριό γίνεται οδικώς από αγροτικό δρόμο από Ράχες ή από Άγιο Κήρυκο με καΐκι. Προς τα βόρεια συνορεύει με το χωριό Κάλαμος και προς τα ανατολικά με το χωριό του Τραπάλου.
Τα περισσότερα σπίτια είναι κτισμένα ανάμεσα σε δύο πλαγιές οι οποίες καταλήγουν στη Λειβάδα (Λιμανάκι του χωριού), όπου βρίσκονται οι παραλίες Αλυκές, Συρτικό, Ακρωτήρι και Βώτσος.
Οι κάτοικοι είναι κυρίως ψαράδες και καλλιεργητές αμπέλου. Η εκκλησία του χωριού (Αγία Παρασκευή και Άγιος Νικόλαος) είναι στο κέντρο του χωριού.
Στις 26 Ιουλίου γίνεται το τοπικό Πανηγύρι.
