During my Japan trip, I decided to stay at a Capsule hotel in Tokyo. I booked a night at 9 hours in Akasaka. I loved the minimal design of the capsule hotel as well as how simplified the whole hotel experience was. They've really boiled down everything to the basics and what is necessary for a comfortable stay.

Ōmiya (大宮区 Ōmiya-ku) is one of ten wards of the city of Saitama, in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. Although Urawa-ku is the governmental center of Saitama City, Ōmiya-ku is the most active commercial and business centre in both Saitama City.

Arriving in Tokyo & Picking up JR Rail Passes | Japan 2016 | Episode 1
Our fourth trip to Japan started off with 2 firsts for us; flying into Haneda airport, and flying the long haul segment with ANA.
While fighting the effects of our first day jet lag we navigated the Tokyo metro to Tokyo station where we picked up our JR Rail Pass. Thanks to a helpful JR employee were also booked all our train tickets for 3 weeks of train travel seeing us all the way up North to Sapporo, back down South to Osaka and ending up in Tokyo.
Also in this video I explain some of the details of how the JR Rail Pass works, how to get one and how to read a JR train ticket.
