We love to pack light, travelling the past 3 years with carry-on only. On AlmostLanding.com, we share in-depth guides to help you plan the best trip, we often have free printable guides you can download or print out, we’ve created our own travel maps pinpointing our favourite picks for different places so you can easily find everything and make travel planning easy. We have another travel blog all on Bali, AlmostLanding-Bali.com, we’ve spent so much time in Bali and share everything we know and love about this beautiful island. We’ve fallen in love with travel and blogging, and we wanted to create a space for other travel lovers and life dreamers. Thanks for being a part of Almost Landing, and make sure to say hi :)

Arriving at Penang Airport in Malaysia - How to walk through the airport
Airport Information: Watch all our AIRPORT VIDEOS here: We are arriving at Penang Airport in Malaysia. The Penang Airport code is PEN. This arriving at Penang Airport video will also be useful for those of you who have a Penang Airport Departure as we show both the Arrivals Area and upstairs Departure Area where the Check-in Desks are located. This Penang Airport Arrival video begins at our plane where we are disembarking our Qatar Airways flight which we have just arrived on from Doha. From this point we make our way through Penang International Airport where we pass through Immigration / Passport Control (not shown as filming is not allowed), we collect our luggage at the Baggage Reclaim, pass through Customs and then through to the Penang Airport Arrivals Area. In the Arrivals Area we show viewers where the Penang Airport Taxi Desk is located, where one can buy 4G Prepaid Cards, the Tourism Malaysia Desk (Malaysia Tourist Board), ATM Bank Machines and where the Currency Exchange Agencies are located.

WHO ARE WE:
We are a couple with normal 9-to-5 (full time) jobs who enjoy travelling. We bring you Trip Reports, Airport Tours & Travel videos from our own holidays/vacations. Our (Maxi and Maro) aim is to give viewers a glimpse of what to expect from the airline they are flying with, the airport they are arriving at/departing from/transferring in, and what their holiday or business destination and hotel will be like. Teluk Kumbar
District: Southwest Penang Island
Teluk Kumbar (In Chinese: 公巴, Kong-Pa in Penang Hokkien) is one of the district in Penang Island, located just between Bayan Lepas and Balik Pulau in Penang, Malaysia. The name Teluk comes from it location at a bay by the sea and Kumbar comes from a thorny palm type vegetation that grows wildly mostly on the inner hilly area. It was orally told by olds that during it was opened by some Achenese, the land is covered by kumbar clump and the name came from it. The palm, with it sour fruits, now is found rarely on the hilly area and it mostly cleared and replaced by durian orchards.
