Dingle town & peninsula, Ireland
We've been exploring the West Coast of Ireland and now we’re heading for Dingle which some people would say is the finest destination in the country. Dingle is a lush green peninsula extending out into the Atlantic Ocean.
Entering the Dingle Peninsula and passing through villages of Blennerville, Camp and Annascaul.
We stop by the roadside for a lovely view looking down towards the coast and across the green fields.
Next stop, Dingle, our home base for the next couple days. The town is one of Ireland's best with excellent hotels, of course many pubs, and in recent years, Dingle has become one of the gourmet capitals of the country with many fine restaurants. We will be taking you inside a couple of them. The drive in gave us a nice overview and will be taking you on several walks through town.
Most visitors find the real attraction is the surrounding areas with the beautiful countryside and the historic sites. With a few minute’s drive, you are at the edge of town and beyond that, you're in the countryside almost immediately.
So we hop in our van and do a tour of the peninsula. It's not unusual to run into some rain when you're out here in the far tip of Europe, in the Atlantic Ocean. And we had some rain this morning, but it cleared up a little bit during the day.
Dingle is a peninsula sticking into the sea at the western edge of Europe, set amid wild green scenery surrounded by the ocean.
One of the main historic sites you'll see is Dunbeg Fort. It's quite typical of the Celtic fortresses of the Iron Age in Ireland. It's built right up against the edge of a cliff, so it's easy to defend itself with the big walls on one side and the sea cliff on the other.

10 Once in a Lifetime Experiences in Antarctica
Get more Tips here!
Mingle with penguins, watch whales, speak to real scientists, and get lost in this beautiful, serene wilderness. There are dozens of reasons to explore the vast reaches of Antarctica. Here are some of the most incredible.
1. Seriously, Bro, the Penguins
One of the most compelling reasons to visit Antarctica is the chance to visit with a colony of penguins. They’re not afraid to interact with visiting tourists. Visiting Antarctica means you have the opportunity to stand surrounded by one of the most impressive (and adorable) creatures on the planet.
2. Take a Dip at Deception Bay
Yes, you can take a swim in Antarctica without freezing your toes off. Deception Bay is a stretch of water that sits in the bowl of a giant, dormant volcano which means that the water is a great place to go swimming in Antarctica.
3. Go Kayaking
Kayaking in Antarctica is a beast of a different stripe. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see a variety of seals in their natural habitat. You’ll never get over the thrill of watching a colossal whale swim underneath your kayak while you’re rowing through a bay.
4. Check Out Some Science Facilities
Most facilities will turn visitors away to preserve the fidelity of their study, but a handful will happily show you around real-world institutions that are studying a vast variety of issues facing Earth.
5. Spend at Least One Night Camping Out
Is camping out in sub-zero temperatures going to be warm? Heck no. You also can’t legally eat or drink on the shores of Antarctica. If you’re the kind of person who likes to camp out anyway, then Antarctica is the pinnacle of camping adventures.
6. Jump on a Zodiac
Zodiac tours are a great way to get extremely close to Antarctica’s unique wildlife. Want to get within arm’s reach of a leopard seal? This is the way to do it. Zodiac tours rarely disappoint.
7. Reflect on History at the Terra Nova Hut
The crew and animals of the ill-fated Terra Nova expedition discovered that were unable to make the return trip from the South Pole. Today, their base camp on Home Beach is still there, complete with some of the skeletons of the dogs who perished with the expedition.
8. Sail Through Lemaire Channel
This 7-mile-long channel is bordered by mountains on both sides. It’s also home to some fascinating wildlife that will greet you as you sail through. The views are so universally gorgeous that Lemaire Channel has been nicknamed, “Kodak Gap.”
9. Take a Whale Watching Excursion
The whales are genuinely curious about visitors. Get ready to see these majestic, massive mammals in their natural environment, swimming, and hunting with unbelievable grace.
10. Visit the Southern Most Post Office in the World
Okay, you might not have a burning desire to send out some snail mail from Antarctica, but visiting the post office in Port Lockroy means wading through a huge penguin colony and getting close to some massive icebergs. And, hey, you can always send yourself a postcard to commemorate the occasion.
Which of these activities would you like to do?

Camping on the Ring of Kerry, Ireland - Ep. 15
After a fantastic meal in Cahersiveen, it was time to head over to our campsite, Mannix Point. We found a wonderful spot to set up the tent right on the edge of the sea and just in time to watch the sun set over the mountains. Then the rain and wind started during the night but wasn't going to stop us from venturing on through more of the Ring of Kerry. As we went, the terrain became even more dramatic and the clouds and rain gave the landscape a mystic quality. Each twist and turn revealed another beautiful view of mountains and lakes as we headed to our next site to set up camp.
For our first time camping together, we definitely set the bar high!

10 Things NOT to Do in Ibiza
Get more Tips here! destinationtips.com
Let’s be honest, most tourists come to Ibiza for its epic party vibe. Although there is plenty to see and do there, there are also a few no-nos to bare in mind. Here are a few things NOT to do in Ibiza.
1. Don’t Buy Tickets at the Door
That’s a rookie mistake. Not only will buying tickets at the door cost you more, but you’ll probably have to stand in line for at least an hour or more (and sometimes you just don’t make it past that velvet rope).
2. Don’t Show Up to the Clubs Before Midnight
Most nightclubs start opening around 10:00 pm, but things don’t really kick into gear until the stroke of midnight (and, frankly, that’s usually when the coolest clubs open).
3. Don’t Forget Your Hand Fan
Having an old-school hand fan to cool you down on the packed dance floor is an essential tip. You can’t count on the air conditioning or sea breezes to keep you comfortable in that mosh pit of sweaty gyrating bodies.
4. Don’t Leave Your Photo ID in the Hotel
You’ll need to show ID at the door to every bar, club and party on the island, so make sure you have some identification with your picture on you.
5. Don’t Sneak Drinks into the Clubs
Just don’t. Commercial venues don’t take kindly to booze smuggling, and it’s not worth it if you get caught. They’ll throw you out and probably ban you from the premises. If you’re really on a tight budget, see tip #10.
6. Don’t Try to Walk Home from Amnesia or Privilege
Playa d’en Bossa is technically in walking distance from Ibiza town (about 40 minutes), However, that stretch has been nicknamed “the road of death” as many stumbling partiers have taken their last steps that way.
7. Don’t Drink the Tap Water
It is safe, but it’s really not very palatable. People complain about high salt and calcium levels, and it also has a high chlorine content and taste.
8. Don’t Avoid Local Transport
The local transportation system is cheap and efficient, and can take you just about anywhere you’d want to go. The Ibiza Bus costs only about €2 and can get you from one side of the island to another.
9. Don’t Sleep on the Beach
For starters, it’s illegal and the police do patrol the coastline for this, so don’t bother trying to camp out on the beach for the night. However, if you plan to party all night and catch a nap on the beach during the day, that’s another thing.
10. Don’t Forget to Pre-Drink
Bolster yourself with a few pre-cocktails so you don’t need to imbibe so much at the expensive clubs. Keep an eye out for the promotional reps out there hustling 2 for 1 drink specials, free shots and the like, too.
