COTSWOLDS ENGLAND July, 2018. A medium bus trip from Cheltenham to Burford and you are in the heart of the Cotswolds. This town has many beautiful old buildings built of Cotswold stone. And it is shoppers delight! However, keep a look out for the traffic as the main road can be very busy at times.

swcwalks, swcwalk 299, Teynham to Faversham.2/6/18.
This was a delightful 15.5 miles of walking in North Kent, on a lovely Summer's afternoon. For the first 5 miles, or so, there were the traditional Kentish views of Oasts, fruit orchards and arable fields. There was also some challenging walking through Rape and over-grown paths; encounters this walker notes whenever in Kent, for some reason.
The remaining 10 miles, or so, is through the marshlands of the Kent Coast, passing former brickworks, and then the coastal vistas of The swale on one side and the Luddenham Marshes on the other. A rare Cuckoo is again heard, as is the unusual sound of the Hungarian Marsh Frog, spreading rapidly from its Romney Marsh release point. It was a first time hearing for this walker and quite amazing to hear!
As the walk turns landward again, there's more creek-side walking and then more fields before reaching the pleasant town of Faversham.
A very nice walk indeed! A lovely contrast of peaceful orchards and then the solitude of sea-wall walking along the coast. A shame that some of the lesser-used paths were almost impassable!
