Our visit Rio De Janeiro travel guide documentary, before the Olympics of 2016, covers some of the top attractions including a food guide (best restaurants and street food), top museums and Rio at night. We also cover off-the-beaten-path activities you won't find in a typical Rio De Janeiro tourism brochure or Rio De Janeiro, Brasil city tour.
25 Things to do in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil Travel Guide and Top Attractions Transcript:
First up, we started with the city’s most iconic sight: Christ Redeemer. We boarded the train as soon as the station opened and made our way to the top of Corcovado Mountain. Sometimes the statue can be shielded by fog, but we lucked out with beautiful blue skies and panoramic views of the city as far as the eye could see.
For a bit of colour, we headed over to the Selaron Steps, which is a tiled staircase created by Chilean artist, Jorge Selarón. Initially Selaron would scavenge construction sites looking for tiles, but in later years as his work gained notoriety, travellers began donating tiles.
Since we chose to stay in the neighbourhood of Ipanema, we ended up spending quite a bit of time at Ipanema Beach. We noticed that this beach was really popular for beach football, volleyball, and surfing. And of course, what makes this beach so iconic are its two mountains, known as Dois Irmãos. If you come here on a clear day, you can catch a killer sunset.
No visit to Rio de Janeiro would be complete without heading up Sugarloaf Mountain, so when the skies finally cleared that’s exactly what we did. We paid for our tickets and boarded the cable car for a somewhat unnerving ride up. If you’re scared of heights, this probably isn’t the attraction for you, however, if you manage to make it to the top you get some really cool panoramic views of Rio.
Copacabana Beach is the most famed beach in all of Rio de Janeiro and if you were to visit on a weekend during the summer months you’d find that the place is packed beyond belief. We happened to be here in winter so things were a lot more relaxed, but that didn’t stop visitors from braving the waters.
We did a favela tour to Babilônia and Chapéu Mangueira. On our tour we saw lots of street art, learned about life inside a favela.
And that is a wrap! We hope this video will give you guys some ideas of things to do in Rio de Janeiro on your visit, and for those travellers who have already been there, feel free to add your suggestion of cool activities and attractions in the comments below.

St. Lucia Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia (4K 60fps)
Floating like an emerald teardrop between the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea is the island nation of St Lucia.
For centuries the original Arawak and Carib made their homes around the islands northern bays. In the 1550s, the notorious buccaneer, Peg Leg Le Clerc, became the first European to settle here.
After the pirates came the plantations, and the bittersweet years of sugar and slavery. Between the 17th and 19th centuries, St Lucia was pulled back and forth between the French and British, before finally gaining her independence in 1979.
Right in the heart of the capital, Castries, the main square pays tribute to two of the island’s Nobel Prize winning sons. Just across from the park, visit the basilica, filled with murals that blend the colours and traditions of Africa, the Caribbean and the West.
At the Central Market, taste the fruits of this island’s volcanic soil, enjoy real St Lucian home cooking, and browse crafts made by local hands. The creation story continues at Eudovik’s Art Studio, where master carvers transform tree roots into sensual works of art.
The sleepy French colonial town, Soufriere, is cradled by some of the island’s greatest natural treasures. Just a short boat ride away is one island’s finest resort beaches, Anse Chastanet. While nestled between the two volcanic spires of Gros and Petit Piton, is one of the west coast’s most secluded hideaways, Sugar Beach.

Antigua Travel Guide | Visiting During Antigua Sailing Week Video Transcript:
In today’s video, we’re taking you to a little island in the Caribbean: Antigua!
It had been a few years since we last travelled to the Caribbean, so to say we were excited was an understatement! AND because our visit also happened to coincide with Antigua Sailing Week, there was quite literally even more reason to celebrate.
So in this video we’re going to show you some fun things to do in Antigua and taking you along to some of Sailing Week related activities.
Antigua Sailing Week started back in 1968 when a group of friends decided to hold a regatta. Because quite a few in the group worked in the tourism industry, the objective of the regatta was to extend the winter season by getting people to stay on the island just a little bit longer. And well, today it’s become one of the biggest events of the year!
And because the Sailing Week celebrations were happening, we also got to enjoy Reggae in the Park featuring international artists.
It’s no secret that we love to eat, so we were very excited to learn how to prepare a few Caribbean dishes - all of them featuring rum.
And in between all the cooking, there was also time for a rum tasting, which was a pleasant surprise!
The meal turned out wonderful and we really enjoyed getting to share it with other travellers. We had seconds, thirds, and then it was time for a mouthwatering cake!
And last but least, we made some time to visit the capital of Antigua: St John’s.
Initially, our plan had been to try and find some Caribbean food in town, but everyone kept suggesting Big Banana, so that’s where we ended up.
And that’s a wrap for Antigua!
We hope you guys enjoyed exploring this Caribbean island with us, and be sure to let us know what island you’d like to see us explore next!
Wishing you happy travels and see you in the next video.
