Russia Siberia Roadtrip
Siberia in Russia is huge! The distances are so insane you really have no idea before you try to move from one city to the next. Doing so by train often takes at least one night. After a week or so on rail it was time to hit the road!
The cities of Novosibirsk and Altai are 11 hours apart by car. That didn't stop me and a friend from attempting the drive on a whim with zero planing.
As mentioned, in this part of Russia the distances are huge but the scenery is quite picturesque. The nature and wildlife is beautiful. Siberia was a very enjoyable part of the country and I would like to visit again. Preferably during the winter when the temperature goes down to -50 celsius!

My crazy Russian vlog. Peter Scott explores weird & wonderful Russian pastimes
RT Doc’s Peter Scott has lived in Russia for 7 years but still manages to find things that surprise him. He sets out to experience the craziest Russian entertainment he can find and begins his quest at a bikini skiing festival in Siberia. Even though it all happens on a snowy mountain in the spring, festival-goers still ski and snowboard in swimsuits! It’s a long-standing tradition but recently it gained wider popularity after video pictures went viral.
Another place in Russia, where bikini skiing is ‘a thing’, is Sochi, the seaside resort that became popular after the 2014 Winter Olympics. It doesn’t just attract tourists and sports enthusiasts from Russia but from all around the world. Snow skiing in a swimsuit is made possible by the combination of majestic Caucasus slopes and a subtropical climate. Peter may not be a winter sportsman himself but he certainly appreciates the fun and energising atmosphere.
Skiing in bikinis may be fun but Peter doesn’t stop there, he also takes a magical mystery tour through some of the country’s more off beat, creative and destructive past times, including an unusual bath and tractors like you’ve never seen before. He soon reaches a point where, “This is Russia baby!”, is all the explanation he needs for the more way out and whacky things people do for entertainment. All you need is an open mind and the willingness to be amazed!

Tourism in Russia has seen rapid growth since the late Soviet times, first inner tourism and then international tourism as well. Rich cultural heritage and great natural variety place Russia among the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Not including Crimea, the country contains 23 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, while many more are on UNESCO's tentative lists.
Major tourist routes in Russia include a travel around the Golden Ring of ancient cities, cruises on the big rivers including the Volga, and long journeys on the famous Trans-Siberian Railway. Diverse regions and ethnic cultures of Russia offer many different foods and souvenirs, and show a great variety of traditions, including Russian banya, Nizhny Novgorod Khokhloma and Matryoshka, Tatar Sabantuy, or Siberian shamanist rituals.
The citizens of CIS member states, Serbia, most countries in Latin America, and South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Mongolia can travel freely to Russia and do not need a visa.
Free e-visas for visiting three regions in Russia's Far East (Primorye, Sakhalin, and Kamchatka) are availabale for tourists from China, Japan, India, Iran, Turkey, Morocco, Mexico, and some other countries.
Tourists from other countries are required to visit a Russian diplomatic mission to purchase a visa. Tourists are required to have a valid passport when crossing the Russian border. Russian visas cannot be purchased at the border. For more information see visa policy of Russia.

MOSCOW, RUSSIA 2016
■ MY TOUR OF STALINGRAD 2017:
Russia's capital Moscow is Europe's biggest city. I've been wanting to visit this famous metropolis for well over a decade. It was worth the wait. In this film I show Moscow nightlife, Russian girls, Moscow gyms, the streets around the Kremlin and much more.
Russian people are awesome and really cool to hang out with. I really hope these clips show that Russia is a European country that should be the West's best friend and ally. Not an enemy country we put sanctions on and treat like an outcast.
PODCAST:
i almost died today. Twice
The past few days in N'Djamena, Chad have been the worst days of my entire life and I've had a miserable time here. Never in my life have I been more scared, threatened or attacked (both verbally and physically) than in this hot, dusty, beaten-down deserted city. I was in a disastrous police chase on a motorbike and I also was attacked by a dozen people for taking 1 photo inside a mini bus. I apologize for the lack of posting lately - I've had no access to wifi until now and I'm still shaken up by what has happened to me.
If it wasn't for my 6'6'' local friend (AKA Bodyguard), then I'm not sure I'd be alive right now. This is not a joke, this is serious.
The lesson learned has been learned on my end to always ask before taking a photo of anyone, but it was uncalled for these people to attack me like they did. I will end this post by saying that I do not hate Chad (as a whole) and I realize that unlucky situations can make or break your experience in any country. But it's safe to say that I will not be coming back to Chad anytime soon.
