Chowara Chidambaraswamy Temple is located at Chowwara in Ernakulam district. The presiding deities of north shrine are Lord Shiva in the form of Nataraja, in the sanctum sanctorum facing east . It is believed that this temple is one of the 108 Shiva temples of Kerala and is installed by sage Parasurama dedicated to Lord Shiva . Maha Shivarathri festival of the temple celebrates in the malayalam month of Kumbha .

Nagaraja Temple is a Hindu temple worshipping Nagaraja situated at the heart of Nagercoil town. The name for the town Nagercoil originated from this temple. The temple has innumerable statues of serpents. The temple main deity Nagaraja. The upadevathas are Shiva, Subrahmanya Swami, Ganesha, Devi and Dwarapalaka. As ancient tradition the priests are Namboothiri Brahmins who are referred by Pambumekkat mana in Thrissur, Kerala. The temple has a vast pond. Devotees offer milk and turmeric powder as a part of their prayers to the Nagas in the temple. The temple is open from 4.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and from 5.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m

Lighthouse Beach
The southernmost beach, the Lighthouse Beach is the one most frequented by tourists, Lighthouse Beach got its name due to the old Vizhinjam Lighthouse located on a 35 meter high on top of the Kurumkal hillock. The lighthouse is built using stones, is colored in red and white bands and enjoys a height of 118 feet. It's intermittent beams at night render the beach with an unearthly charm

Ambalappuzha Sri Krishna Temple - Kerala, India

This is the Ambalappuzha Sree Krishna Temple located in the southern Indian state of Kerala. It is popularly known as Ambalapuzha Ambalam in Malayalam (local language). This temple has a very different architecture when compared to other Hindu temples of India. Most of the temple's roof is made of tiles and looks like a huge house-like appearance.

This temple was built in the 15th Century A.D by Devanarayanan Thampuran and the main deity Krishna has a rather formidable appearance - A whip in one hand and a conch (used to commence war) in the other.

The temple is famous for Aarattu (Holy Bath) festival and rooster sacrifices. Some locals also believe that human sacrifices were made at this temple's altar. There is a huge metal pot in the Temple which reportedly contains a mysterious secret. I also found a stone carving where Krishna drinks milk directly from a cow's udder. It is bordered by the Karichal lake in the eastern side, the Chowara hills in the north, rocks vanishing into the Arabian sea in the south and west. It languishes under the green canopy formed by coconut palms. A marvellous sight from anywhere.
