Shaun of the Dead Filming Locations, Crouch End, 3/11/2012
This is footage of the filming locations in Crouch End where part of the iconic 2004 film 'Shaun of the Dead' was filmed, in North East London. In this video you can see Shaun's house, and then the walk across the road to his local supermarket where he buys a cornetto and diet coke. Apologies for looking down at the ground for a lot of this video but I didn't want people to be thinking I was filming them directly. The filming location is Weston Park in the London Borough of Haringey, and the house is on the corner of Nelson Road/Weston Park. The name of the shopkeeper in the film is 'Nelson', so I presume this may have been taken from the road name. This was filmed on 3rd November 2012 on my iPhone 4.
Unusual places around London
On a recent Thames Kayaking trip, the Suzy Guides team of David Ingham, Ian P. Hardy and Annie Coburn, stopped on the bank of the River Thames to have a picnic. David, our historian and architect of the London Walks, gave us some of Runnymeade and the Magna Carta, which John I signed at this location. In addition to this historic signing, is a monument to John F. Kennedy dedicated to him in 1965 after his assassination.
David gives you a concise history of both the Magna Carta and the JFK memorial:
The Magna Carta had an impact on constitutional law as well as political representation and the future development of parliament.
Runnymede has a strong association with ideals of democracy, limitation of power, equality and freedom under law.
The inscription on the monument to JFK reads: 'This acre of English ground was given to the United States of America by the people of Britain in memory of John F. Kennedy, born 19th May, 1917: President of the United States 1961-63: died by an assassin's hand 22nd November,1963. Let every National know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend or oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and success of liberty: from the inaugural address of President Kennedy, January 1961.'
Best spots in North West London: Hampstead Heath and Camden Town / London Vlog / Zaneta Uba
******Available in HD******
Hi, everybody!
I want to take you with me to the best 2 places in North-West London: Hampstead Heath and Camden Town,
Hampstead Heath is one of the biggest parks in London with a beautiful viewpoint.
Can you tell me what was that ghost behind me when I was walking down the hill? :)
Camden Town is my favourite place in London. Since Camden Market started in 70's, it has been attracting milions of tourists,
Also, Amy Winehouse lived and died there,
This place is well known from its alternative venues, pubs and life music,
Hope you enjoyed this small walk and I'd be glad to see you next time!
