Top 10 Places to Eat in Siargao Island, Philippines
Siargao, Philippines - Siargao Island is becoming one of the most popular travel destinations in The Philippines. Along with Boracay and Palawan, Siargao is a popular Philippines travel island because of their famous surf breaks and laidback atmosphere.
I'm not a very good surfer, so instead, I decided to eat my way around General Luna in between all the things to do in Siargao.
This is a list of my favorite places to eat in Siargao - From smoothies at Shaka and to Pizza at Kermit and grilled fish at Mama's Grill.
Enjoy!

Foodtrip: 8 Food Places You Must Visit When in Siargao | Philippines | We.Are.Wanderful
Foodtrip: 8 Food Places You Must Visit When in Siargao
Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte | Philippines
We.Are.Wanderful
JUNE 10—14, 2016—Aside from surfing, Siargao is known for many things including beautiful islands and pristine beaches, humongous mangrove forests, the world's largest salt-water crocodiles, surreal sunset, and various other natural wonders like Sugba Lagoon, Tayangban Cave, Magpupungko Tidal Pools, Taktak Falls, etc.
What our family realized during our visit in Siargao way back in 2016, however, is that it should also be known as a haven for foodies. We were quite amazed at the many different culinary and gastronomical possibilities during our 4D3N stay.
The eight food places we featured in this short video are the ones we tried ourselves. They are by no means the only food places in Siargao. In fact, we've researched and chose them from many available options. If our visit had been longer we would have tried more of these wanderful food places and featured them here as well.
The eight food places we are featuring here are (in no particular order):
1. Nay Palad (formerly Dedon). Please watch our other YouTube videos about Dedon (Playlist: Experiencing Dedon) for more details.
2. Kawayan
3. Sagana
4. Kermit
5. Krokodeilous in Del Carmen town
6. Kalinaw
7. Shaka
8. Cafe Loka
Please note that most of these food places are also resort-hotels so you can actually book your stay in Siargao through any of them. These are Nay Palad, Kawayan, Sagana, Kermit, and Kalinaw.
Six of the 8 are located in or near the famous Cloud 9 surfing area in General Luna town, while Nay Palad is located in barangay Malinaw (also in General Luna town) and Krokodeilous is located in the town of Del Carmen adjacent to the Mangrove Conservation Center which is also the gateway to the famous Sugba Lagoon.
This is a short video presentation of our visits to the above featured food places in Siargao. Enjoy watching.

YOU HAVE TO SEE THESE SECLUDED ISLANDS IN THE PHILIPPINES
While in Siargao, Philippines we took a private boat tour of three amazing and secluded islands for only $20 USD. The first, Naked Island, is completely bare and has nothing but white sand! It was such a relaxing and unusual island - unlike any we've seen before. The second and largest island (Daku) is where we stayed the longest and enjoyed a wonderful Filipino grilled fish lunch. The last island (Guyam) was perfect for floating in the turquoise blue water.
We were able to find a private tour at an affordable price (after some negotiating) and absolutely loved these three small islands that were all different and amazing!!
