1000 KM DRIVE TO SKI IN FRANCE!
First trip of 2019!
A mate and I are hitting the ski slopes of Tignes and Val D'Isere, France! To mix it up a little we decided to drive this one - thought it would be a pretty epic trip down, its a long day and a lot of miles, but getting there and driving in the snow and the epic roads that follow certainly makes it worth it! Once we got there in the evening we had a bit of a cock up with our hotel which was a bit of a mess, but it did leave us with one hell of a road to drive the following morning...

This very sunny Franco-Swiss ski area reaches a height of 2,186m at Col de Balme pass.
It is reached via Le Tour village or by gondola lift from Vallorcine.
The Balme ski area has hill-walking paths of all levels of difficulty, such as the path up to the Albert I mountain hut, a very pleasant walk in a giant-scale glacier setting, but also routes in the wild through pastures and forests.
From Charmillon to Col des Posettes pass, numerous mountain-biking trails for all levels take you down to the villages of Le Tour and Vallorcine.
