Place de la République in Paris | Explore France
The Place de la République (formerly known as the Place du Château d'Eau) is a square in Paris, located on the border between the 3rd, 10th and 11th arrondissements. The square has an area of 3.4 ha (8.4 acres). It is named after the French Republic, was called the Place du Château-d'Eau until 1879, and contains a monument which includes a statue of the personification of France, Marianne.
The Métro station of République lies beneath the square.
Place de la République is one of the favorite places to hang out and relax within the busy areas of the three arrondissement (3rd, 10th, and 11th). The square is also frequently used as a gathering place among protesters and student activists.

Surprise Paris Trip & Proposal
I told my girlfriend that we would be going away for the weekend, but I didn't tell her where. I gave her a list of things to pack and the weather report and told her that I already checked with her boss to get her a half day on Friday and the day off on Monday. She was so surprised that we ended up driving to the airport and even more surprised when I handed her her passport and a boarding pass to Paris. We had the most unforgettable two days in Paris culminating into a surprise proposal I've been thinking about since December. I still can't believe I pulled the whole thing off!

Ewa and Sonia have weekend trip to France, girls want show ferry from France Calais port to England Dover port.
Watch 50 Best Family Vacation and Weekend Trips, you can plan your Family Vacations ideas For Family Travel Destinations,
How you can plan your family vacation with kids?
Much of your decision depends on the ages of your children. Infants are along for the ride wherever you go, so plan short jaunts to work in frequent feedings. Inquisitive six year olds may want to explore everything, making children's museums and science centers prime spots. Grouchy teenagers might need a bit of coaxing, so maybe a beach or an amusement park will do the trick. Choosing a few top priorities will make it easier to narrow down your options.
Budget is also a concern for most families. Don't rule out all-inclusive resorts. The initial price tag might be higher, but with food and drinks included, this type of accommodation might turn out to be easier on your wallet. Many all-inclusive hotels offer a wide range of children's activities, allowing grown-ups some time to relax on their own. Cruises can also be a great option for families, and the price tag can be the quite reasonable when you realize it includes meals and entertainment.

Lucerne Switzerland Travel Guide
A travel guide for visiting Lucerne in Switzerland. 9 of the best things to do in Lucerne including: Lucerne Railway Station, Lucerne Lion Monument, Glacier Garden, Bourbaki Panorama, Chapel Bridge, Lucernes Old Town, City Walls & Clock Tower, Stadkeller Restaurant, Mt. Pilatus Day Trip.
Lucerne has a very impressive main train station. It's been rebuilt, the facade of the old one is still here. But you'll find the train station will be your most convenient way to get in and out of Lucerne. There are tons of shops in it, and also the jumping off point for most buses that take you around the city. And the ferries that'll take you on the Golden Round Trip. And, as you can see by the departure sign, they have a lot of departures out of the station. The basement level of the train station is also home to one of Lucerne's latest open supermarkets. This Coop is open 'til 10pm everyday. It's also a great place to get chocolate, at Laderach. And cheap eats, if all those expensive places in the city have got you wallet broke, check out the Currywurst right here. Next to the train station, in this big, black, modern-looking building, that almost looks like a UFO landed, is Lucerne's Concert Hall and Art Museum. If you're a Star Trek fan, this building might remind you of the Borg cube, kinda looks like to me.
The biggest attraction in Lucerne, one 'cause it's big, and two 'cause this is where everybody comes, is the Lion Monument. This is a monument depicting the Swiss troops who died in 1792, in the French Revolution. It is a pretty sad lion, he's been impaled by a spear, and he's covering a shield over there, that depicts the French Monarchy. While it may not be the best attraction in Lucerne, 'cause it's certainly not the happiest, it is one that you have to come and see because everybody comes to see the sad lion. If you've watched any other of my Switzerland videos, you'll know I talk a lot about the fountains, and this city is no exception. In Lucerne, they have over 200 public fountains with running water from the mountains, tastes just like cold, refreshing Evian water. If you're thirsty, just come up to one of these fountains and you can use it, get some water, or maybe even wash your hands.
Just above the Lion Monument is the Glacier Garden. It's a natural rock formation that happened when glaciers moved over this part of Lucerne, many, many years ago. One of the interesting things that happens when glaciers go, you can see the scrape marks, but behind me there's also these potholes. There's a little one back here but there's a big one back there that's like nine meters deep. It's caused by the force of the water underneath the glacier. There's also a Glacier Museum, and a House of Mirrors. Admission's a little steep, but if you have the Swiss travel pass admission's free. The Hall of Mirrors, I'll say is very cool, because in this room it has the Alhambra Fountain in it. How many of me can you count? And no, this is not a special effect, this is really what this room looks like.
After you visit the Lion Monument, if you want some culture in the form of a big painting, you can visit the Bourbaki Panorama. It's in this nondescript building here, it is a 10 meter high, by 112 meter wrap around panoramic painting that is of the French internment, where the French army was interned in Switzerland back in 1891. It's very interesting, if you have the Swiss pass it's free, if not it's a small admission fee, just note that there's no air conditioning, so if it's hot then it's quite a heat wave inside.

Plane Crash Accidents -Airplane Crash
Aviation Disasters And Plane Crashes In History:
Lauda Air Flight 004 - 223 dead: On 26 May 1991 flight 004 from Bangkok to Vienna broke up in the air near the Burma-Thailand border after the thrust reverser on the left wing fired. Reports indicate that it’s subsequent dive could have exceeded mach 1 (the sound barrier). There were no survivors.
China Airlines Flight 611 - 225 dead: On 25 May 2002 flight 611 from Taiwan to Hong Kong disintegrated mid flight due to faulty repairs 22 years earlier.
Korean Air Flight 801 - 228 dead: Despite protests from the flight engineer that the captain was not detecting the correct signal for landing, he pressed on and guided flight 801 from Seoul, South Korea directly into the Guam mountainside leaving only 26 survivors.
Air France Flight 447 - 228 dead: 1 June 2009 flight 447 disappeared on its way to Paris from Rio de Janeiro. Although the wreckage was found after 5 days the black box was recovered 2 years later. The cause was found to be an inappropriate pilot response to faulty air speed indicators due to bad weather conditions and ice.
Swissair Flight 111 - 229 dead:On 2 September 1998 Swissair flight 111 from New York to Geneva crashed into the ocean just off of Nova Scotia due to a rapidly spreading cockpit fire.
9/11 flights:Although not a single air disaster, the four flights involved in 9/11 were responsible for the greatest single day loss of life in commercial aviation history. Two of the flights, American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175 each were responsible for thousands of casualties after being driven into the World Trade Centers and are considered the largest and second largest losses of life due to individual plane crashes in all of aviation history with 1700 and 1000 people killed respectively.
Tenerife Airport Disaster - 583 dead: In terms of passengers and crew killed this collision between two Boeing 747s on the Spanish Island of Tenerife is considered the deadliest plane crash in history.
Japan Airlines Flight 123 - 520 dead:On August 12, 1985 a flight from Tokyo to Osaka crashed into Mount Takamagahara leaving only 4 survivors.
Charkhi Dadri mid-air collision - 349 dead: The deadliest mid-air collision in history, Saudi Arabian airlines and Kazakhstan airlines crashed just west of New Delhi killing everyone on both planes. An investigation found that once again a lack of English language skills on behalf of the Kazakh pilots was the primary cause.
Ermenonville air disaster - 346 dead:After a Moroccan baggage handler was unable to read the proper latching instructions in either English or Turkish on Turkish airlines flight 981, the latch blew off mid flight as the plane crashed into Ermonville forest near Paris, France. Furthermore, the latches had a known design flaw.
Air India Flight 182 - 329 dead:On the 23 of June, 1985 a bomb exploded onboard Air India Flight 182 as it was flying between London and Montreal. The plane crashed into the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of Ireland. A Canadian Sikh militant group was responsible.
Saudia Flight 163 - 301 dead:This flight from Rihadh to Jeddah caught fire shortly after takeoff. It turned around and made an emergency landing but everyone on board died of smoke inhalation before fire crews could get inside. The fire was started due to butane stoves used by Muslim pilgrims because of their strict dietary restrictions. Saudi Arabia has since banned the stoves but some people still smuggle them onboard to make tea.
Iran Air Flight 655 - 290 dead: During the Iraq-Iran war on July 3, 1988 the USS Vincennes shot down Iran Air Flight 665 going between Tehran and Dubai due to confused communications.
American Airlines Flight 191 - 273 dead:Just moments after takeoff the left engine of Flight 191 from Chicago to Los Angeles came off. The plane rolled, turned upside down and crashed into a field. A firefighter on the scene was quoted as saying that not a single complete body was found. Amateur photos of the crash sparked a media firestorm condemning the DC-10’s poor safety record.
Places to see in ( Les Issambres - France )
Places to see in ( Les Issambres - France )
Les Issambres is the seaside and holiday destination of the commune of Roquebrune-sur-Argens, France. It stretches along 8 km of inlets and fine sandy beaches. Its incarnation as a resort took place in the 1930s with the development of Hotel La Résidence (now named Hôtel club Vacanciel des Issambres) above the La Garonette Beach. Clearly conspicuous from the sea it is located in the valley Val d' Esquieres that Les Issambres shares with the commune of Sainte Maxime. Eastwards on the beach is the sailing center with boat rentals and a sailing school, a protected boat harbour with some marine shops, dive center and restaurants. There is a ferry Les Bateaux Verts that takes passengers to the Sainte Maxime harbour or Saint Tropez.
On August 15, 1944, the beaches of Saint Tropez, Sainte Maxime and Les Issambres were at the center of Operation Dragoon, the invasion and liberation of Southern France during World War II. US Delta Force from 93rd Evac landed there. Just by the beach entrance to La Garonette there is a memorial of the beach landing honoring the US troops. The sailing centre is named La Batterie as it was the location of a German artillery battery.
Further to the east is the village San-Peïre sur mer that has grown gradually after WW2. This is really the centre of the destination with shops, restaurants, hotels, promenade, village beach and a town square with a Monday outdoor market, post and tourist office. Continuing eastwards there is a winding coastline with creeks, rocks and calanques versus Saint- Aygulf (Fréjus commune). There are numerous nature trails including a coastline trail leading to a 2000-year-old Roman fishpond. Many private houses are climbing up the mountain hills. However virtually all buildings – including hotels – keep a low profile to the contrary to locations further east on the French Riviera.
With nearly eight kilometers of beaches, coves and creeks, Les Issambres are a seaside resort Var popular with families and tourists. Located between the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and Frejus, the city was already occupied and known at the time of the Romans.
In a wild and rich nature, the program is relaxed, with the thalassotherapy center, and the discovery of an important Mediterranean flora. This unique place in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur is ideal for enjoying the relaxation and the famous regional cuisine in the world. Mediterranean fish, tarte tropézienne coming from nearby..., all delights are there to seduce the palate and cuisine. In a family atmosphere, visitors enjoy the stunning views of the Bougnon the neck or over the Bay of Saint-Tropez, while enjoying the many activities on offer.
Mediterranean flora is taking all its essence in Issambres with beautiful and unique natural sites of their kind. A stroll on the neck of Bougnon, overlooking the seaside resort, offers a breathtaking view on the Mediterranean coast and on the Bay of Saint-Tropez located nearby. The sandy beaches of the Bay of Bougnon offer many water sports to passing visitors. Scuba diving, sailing, jet skiing, sea fishing, are some of the proposed activities on the beach of Issambres. In summer, fireworks are also from these sandy beaches. Classified as an historic monument, marine pool of la Gaillarde is one of the traces of the Roman occupation in Provence. This long natural cove almost twenty meters once used for fishing, with technical traps and reservoirs.
Ideal to have a nice view of the coast of Issambres, the famous path of the customs along the most beautiful sites in the resort and you can admire from above the creeks and other creeks that dot the area. A thalassotherapy center offers various treatments for people in need of relaxation and well-being. Treatments based on sea water, jacuzzi or other massages are the site of the program.
